Fred it's [spoiler] text here [/ spoiler] without the space. Also may want to label the spoiler like what chapter or who it's about before the spoiler tag.

The Witcher 3

Finally got some real time in with the game and am loving it. Crafted some potions and bombs, did a few side quests, found some treasures, etc. Getting ready to tackle my first contract, the one by the well. Should go okay I think.

I do agree that the controls are a little too loosey-goosey when just getting around. Combat controls seem fine to me. Trying to mount Roach drives me nuts; takes 2 or 3 tries before it works right.

Running low on coins at the moment. I have a habit of not charging people for the work I do and it is catching up to me. BTW, the herbalist in the first town is quite cute. :-)

Anyone know how to reach the high area where some bandits are lurking in the ransacked village, the first one you come to? It looks like a brick building or what's left of one up on a hill and there is no way to get up there. It is marked with a question mark.

Thanks!

Circle the whole way around the bandit camp but don't go down below. You eventually get to a point where there's a small type of bridge leading to a area you can climb up.

I'll wait a year or 2 and get it when it's below 30 bucks.

Re: The Witcher 3

This game is beautiful on my PS4, especially during the transition from daylight to dark.

It just makes me laugh about all the fuss going on before the game's release.

I said I wasn't getting it yet, but I'm just too weak. I caved when I saw it in the store earlier. Very impressed with the extras in the case. It makes me glad I purchased the disk instead of downloading.

I'd love to see a comparison thread of Witcher vs Dragon age inquisition.

Re: The Witcher 3

It's amazing how well the world works. Sure, the sun dynamics are amazing and the weather system is beautiful to watch change, but the writing for the smaller quests in each little village is what really pulls me in. Chatting with merchants about their motivations for selling in war ravaged towns, sifting out love triangles involving monsters, or just watching villagers work on their daily routines is what draws me and keeps wowing me.
