The game looks incredible; it is now tops among my most wanted list. One thing I noticed is that there does not seem to be looting of fallen enemies. Only once did I see it happen, when a wolf was killed. Maybe the person playing simply chose not to loot, but it seems that when it's possible you get an A button prompt when you can. I have never played a Witcher game before. Is this how they have worked in the past?

I wasn't too impressed with the person playing the game. They would constantly use a spell or strike to knock down a foe and instead of jumping into the atack while the enemy was stunned, they would wait for the foe to get back up and engage. Weird.

As I said, the game looks amazing. I hope there is not too much potion making necessary. I have never found that part of RPGs fun. To me it gets very redundant.

Can't wait to see more. It seems so far away!

Yes, the A/X prompt will show up when you're near lootable items.

You'll learn on this one. Jumping in isn't always the best strategy.

Potions don't take long to make, but you'll definitely need them.

Potion making is pretty much the heart of the strategy behind the combat in this series and, therefore, has more purpose than most RPGs. By the end of the game it can sometimes feel a bit routine/repetitive, but it's not a terribly tedious process either.

Despite all that, if it's like TW2 and you really just don't like the potion making aspect, there will likely be an option to make potions less necessary (or even not necessary at all, I believe), but it would really dumb down the strategy behind the bigger encounters.
