        Re: The Witcher 3

        2 "massive" expansions announced.

Two story-driven installments have been announced for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Unlike the already announced DLC, which CD Projekt is giving away for free, these expansion due to their size and scope will come with a price tag and will represent "real value for money", according to CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwiński.
Hearts of Stone is expected sometime in October, while Blood and Wine is currently slated for release sometime in the first quarter of 2016. Both expansions will, of course, be available on all three platforms – Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4 – with no mention currently of platform exclusivity.

That's a significant amount of gameplay, especially following on from the game's senior designer, Damien Monnier, revealing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will take players over 200 hours to finish if they "do everything".

If what they say is true then this is add on content worth buying. I'll pay for expansions that really add something significant to the game opposed to DLC that may be an hour or 2 at best

Can't wait for this game, I've been missing the massive RPG game for sure. That map looks really nice, love checking out maps for games like this.

I figured, but I don't want to spoil the experience any more after watching most of the previous videos. I've gone so far as to hold off on buying a well received Dragon Age to let Geralt take my PS4 RPG maidenhood.

I like the old school expansion idea. If the playtime for the expansions is really 20+ hours with new areas and things, it should be a solid add on. Although I think many bashing it(a lot on the Steam forums) equal the expansion bits to paid DLC.

If people want to bitch about adding 30-40 hours to a 200+ hour game for $30 then nothing will satisfy them.

It should have been in the game from the start, bro!

I think there's a legitimate gripe given previous statements.

This needs to be the norm, not the exception.

Essentially we are paying $ 90.00 to experience full games.
