The new DLC usually drops Wednesday or Thursday.

Tonight I will do something I've been trying to square away for a week and finally make the voyage to Skellige. I've cleared all quests above/below my level, upgraded to Enhance Feline armor and weapons, and completed the last contract I had open that I could actually do. I'm pretty excited.

Lord of the Wood contract:

So, I had already run into a Leshen before taking up this contract around the south-eastern portion of Velen. Still, those encounters are creepy as hell. Running into the first one was a 'stop a minute' moment for me. I caught a glimpse of it and somehow it seemed demonic and organic. Perhaps, I thought, it was just a shadow. The woods tend to play tricks on you at night in this game between the howling winds and the shifting shadows of the underbrush and trees.

No, its some gangly tree with antlers standing there in a small clearing looking devilish and gaunt. I approached it with Igni ready in my hand and some Enhanced Dancing Star. I was making some progress until he howls and calls in a pack of wolves to assist him. Of course the leshen and wolves were higher levels than myself and while the leshen seemed susceptible to my combat techniques the wolves were tougher foes. It took 10 or 15 minutes, but they eventually died one by and one and the leshen was pretty easily cleaned up after that.

Thankfully the younger leshen in Lord of the Wood proved to be much easier as he didn't rely on backup other than his transporting with the help of his crows. Still, of all the beasts and monsters in this game, leshens still creep me the hell out.

I don't remember. I did something with him, and now he's not on the map. Maybe he's on the Isles now? I'm sure I'll find him again somewhere.

I can't find Lamert either, and I need to get his gwent card. Where did you find him?

He's in the quest called Following the Thread, which crosses from Velen to Skellige. The instruction that sends you to the Isles says 'Find Hammond'. Then you eventually meet back up with Lambert in Velen to complete the quest.

I was able to download some free armor and a new outfit for Yen but don't know where to go in the game to enable. After the initial download is complete, it's states in the game you need to exit out to main menu for downloaded items to be implemented. Though when I checked my inventory I didn't see anything. So unsure where to go. Gonna google it and see what I come up with.

If you're talking about this week's DLC, it's a new set of Witcher gear treasure hunts, not just new free armor.

I do know the alt outfits are enabled in the main screen options. Downloaded Content section or something of that nature.

No idea about any of the gear. I never even found the horse armor that was the first dlc.

The alternate looks for characters and Gwent cards are automatically enabled. They can be turned on/off from the title menu of the game under options IIRC.

Quests are automatically added to the game as far as I know.

Armor sets go to specific merchants and need to be bought. I don't remember off the top of my head where you go for those, but I think the merchant you saved in White Orchard has one of them.

Just got email notification that my Collector's Edition Guide shipped. I wanted to hold off, but found it on sale. It's going to be so hard to not crack that thing before I'm done doing the first playthrough.

I never buy guides for games, but made an exception this time.

Really wish CDPR would add in a left stick control sensitivity option and somehow make Roach just appear in front of you when whistling. Yeah, it's fake but who cares. Roach is always far away and watching him is like a mouse going through an obstacle course.

Other than those two major things, every other complaint I have is minor but overall, this game is awesome and thus far, my game of the year. I'm over 104 hours and still in Novigrad/Velen. Sailed to Skellige and went ashore but reloaded my previous save file as im just not ready to go there yet. Tee hee.
