    Re: The Witcher 3

When this game was announced and the scope of the dev team's ambition was revealed, one had to wonder if they could pull it off. Look's like they have, in all the ways that matter to me at least.

I don't think I've played a game where I thought that the graphics were anything but good in the last ten years i.e., since the 360 came out. But as an old head, Atari26/Intellivision days, my perspective is a little different than some.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

      Re: The Witcher 3

I play most of my games on PS4 but the reviews that suggest there are framerate and graphical issues on this game on that system makes me think I might should play this on PC. And before you ask, yes, my PC can more than handle this game. However, I don't want to go keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how the controller support is/is going to be for this game?

The Devs said they are aware of the Framerate issue & there is a day one patch that will fix it.

In comparison, I download Steam games at the top speeds possible for my connection yet am able to use the internet, stream video without any problems. Of course, Galaxy is still a beta and Valve has had about a 10 year head-start in getting things working the right way.

Edit: Looks like the leak is just the preload files, no executable.
Wow, I feel so bad for you and your 2 hour wait time for 25 gigs. I had to wait 9~ hours for mine.

But yes, the Galaxy client uses up all your bandwidth -- which is great for that program alone when downloading -- and doesn't scale according to your network traffic. The devs are quite open to suggestions on how to improve the client so look it up if you want to be heard!

It supports the PS4 and XBOX (360 and maybe the One) controllers on PC.

I originally played The Witcher 2 on 360. Controls were the exact same for that on PC and they work really well as well. Would imagine it would be the same for this.

I'm glad I held off on previous RPGs to let Geralt swoop me up and lay me upon the back of a unicorn to be my first RPG on the PS4.

Having never played either of the first two Witcher games, I hit youtube for video recaps. These were the two best I found:

I really wish both games could somehow be released on the PS3 or PS4. I loved TW2, but never got around to completing the other side of the main story.

I should really get around to playing the first two since I own them on PC. I have this thing about starting long games well after release. This also applies to my Assassins Creed backlog.

I would watch a lets play of the first one and play the 2nd.

The first witcher is almost nothing like the 2nd in terms of gameplay mechanics. I loved it but some people will not
