Re: The Witcher 3
Cause we don't like games no more. We're waiting on the next downgrade, pre-order scandal, or bugged/glitched game to rage on!*
*Note: these are all valid industry concerns to be debated.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
Apart from the cherry picked quote the review is actually favorable and recommends the game to everyone. Are you on PS4? Then my recommendation is to wait. Here's a quote from CD-Action review of the game for the PS4:
"I have no idea why CDP decided to give out PS4 copies of the game, a console for which "1080p60fps" was only included in the very first marketing materials. Sometimes PS4 starts coughing blood and gives a *wonderful* gameplay of 12 FPS. I want to say the game is beautiful, but it's not. It's not a beautiful game on the PS4. THere are some things that potentially could be beautiful- but they are obstructed by blockyness, simplicity and bad models. Some people say that the game looks as good as DA:Inquisiton. I envy those people, since for me some places look worse than The Assassins of Kings."
Right now I'd trust this Polish review over IGN, Gamespot etc.
It seems that the downgrade on PC version is massive.
Hype down to 0 for me.

Re: The Witcher 3
How is this not a good looking game? Have downgrades really driven people this insane?

Re: The Witcher 3
Not buying the fact it's as bad as he is making it out. Kotaku is usually spot on for me and they loved the game. They did mention some drops toward the end of the game when there were several enemies on screen, but nothing that was a game killer. The reviewer also mentioned it was played without the day one patch. Are you on PS4? Then my recommendation is to wait. Here's a quote from CD-Action review of the game for the PS4:

Re: The Witcher 3
I gotta be honest I find that screen pretty hard to believe. I don't believe that is anywhere near indicative of what the game will look like on PS4, even with the downgrade. Graphics wise, that actually looks like the first Witcher at the absolute lowest settings.PS: You guys are great.

The site that posted that (after translating albeit not a great translation lol) says:
After testing a version of The Witcher 3 on PS4, we can say one thing - CD Projekt RED rising to the challenge and created one of the best RPGs of recent years. Sorry crack in a diamond is the technical side, which negatively affects the reception of the whole.Joshua:

Re: The Witcher 3
Just to be clear: The gameplay even in that harsh review I posted is praised. We're talking here about performance issues and the graphics. The site that posted that (after translating albeit not a great translation lol) says:

Re: The Witcher 3
It also looks nothing like any of the actual gameplay videos that are out there.

Watched some XB1 gameplay in HD and thought the game looks good visually.

Re: The Witcher 3
Every review I have read states the Gameplay is wonderful yet people are "Graphics are poop, Gane sucks, graphics make game, me no buy".
The graphics look fine, there's so much stuff in the game to do. This is why most of the best games in history are older ones because games looked worse but Gameplay and story were much better. It wasn't the main focus.PS4 Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/candyman5os
