What’s the most active online multiplayer shooter that’s any good? Is there now a pay to play angle?

if you're on PC, Battlebit is too much fun especially for only $15

If it's WWll type shooters, here are your top daily player counts. All of the games allow console play with the exception of the ARMA series. If paying to progress faster is what you're concerned with, I believe all the games play it this way. War Thunder and Enlisted are also FTP.
