The next version of Rock Band is in development for current-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to a Bloomberg Business report citing a source familiar with the plans.

Of course Guitar Hero and Rock Band helped to over saturate the genre, but I've been craving this the past year or so. I would also welcome back DJ Hero.

Well harmonix sent out surveys a little bit ago asking what people would want in future rock bands if they were made.
Here's to somehow transferring all the dlc I bought!

I don't mind buying instruments but I really want the majority of the DLC I purchased. I'm not interested in the Pro stuff, I just want the old 5 button Rock Band /Guitar Hero fun again.

I had gigs of DLC on 360, but rights to that kind of thing are a ridiculous mess.

Would love to see something done so that buying tracks gets you access across their games though... ie new Rock Band and also Fantasia.

Had a blast playing Rock Band my senior year of HS. Was even funner when the new versions let you sing and play without failing.

I always preferred Guitar Hero when I was in HS because I really only enjoy playing Guitar or Bass, but I still played my fair share of Rock Band.

I would definitely buy this.

Hopefully this comes to fruition and all the dlc is transferable. Only reason I really still have my ps3
