Dreams (PS4)

Dreams is currently going through a closed beta. Some have actually broken their NDA agreements and posted their accomplishments and have been asked politely to take it down. Surely, Media Molecule probably doesn't mind the publicity especially when they're amazing work. It's crazy to imagine what these creations may look like when you have talented people working on them. What's crazy is does Dreams offer you all these tools for you where you can recreate P.T. and Dead Space?

I tried messing around with spark, but it was too complicated for me. I always wanted to create a kickboxing or muay thai game w/ natural motion style impact effects. It's like predictable striking animations with unpredictable affects. Spark was cool because it let you motion capture yourself, but the rest of it was way too inaccessible to shape what I was trying to do.

NDA's are now over. The levels of beta creations are coming out and some of the details in their creations being shown look incredible. The amount of tools Dreams can offer you looks insane.

Here, someone creates Bikini Bottom in hopes of sponsorship for his open world game in VR. Another, creates an Avatar.

It will be this year. Media Molecule will be giving a Dreams update on February 20th. Hopefully, we'll find out then.

The Dreams Creator Beta is coming to a close (boo!) but we're excited to get to work on finishing up Dreams (yay)!

Dreams’ Creator Early Access Launches This Spring

                      Some details posted by Highlightnotes from Reddit;

Buying early access means you don't have to pay more for the full game when it's out (even if full game ends up costing more)

Limited slots for early access, but more than beta. Won't have sign ups so I guess gotta just be ready to buy it fast if you want in

Not ready to give VR details yet. Not confirmed to be in early access

Early access will be updated through the journey as new features come in

                      What is Creator Early Access?
Early Access won’t have everything that the full version of Dreams will, but you’ll get 100% of the same Dreams tools that we have used every day at MM to make our content. As well as fun, deep interactive tutorials catering for all skill sets and levels and Mm-crafted arcade games ready to play and remix. If you joined us during the beta period and published your assets, you’ll also have your beta creations to return to. Along the way, we’ll be adding more features, tutorials, arcade levels and assets during the Early Access period as we build towards the full slate of launch content.

In Early Access, you can stream, entertain, teach, collaborate and share to your heart’s content.

Early Access is for creators who want to be part of the Dreams experience from the beginning. People who will create, play others creations, get involved in the social features of Dreams and give us feedback. If you are a creator, this is definitely for you. The Dreamiverse needs curators, tastemakers, and testers – this is a great opportunity to carve out your niche.

Dreams Early Access will be available digitally through the PlayStation Store this spring, priced at $29.99 MSRP (+ applicable tax) in the US and $39.99 MSRP (+ applicable tax) in Canada.

If you want to be the first to get notified on the Early Access live date, sign up here for updates.

The early beta release will only be for flat gaming which requires a dualshock 4 however, you could also use a move controller too. The move controllers are supported for both the PS3 and PS4 consoles.

VR will not be ready for the beta release during early access. MM said it will come later although for some reason (I know its not true) I think it's being prepped for the PS5.

Also of note, it sounds like the game will be put up temporarily in the store then removed once a limited amount is said to be purchased. What that limited number is, no idea.

LOL....My dreams, create an NHL sim-hockey game and finally play something other than EA's game and finally put it to bed. Since the game will be on my console and not resold, to hell with the NHL and NHLPA's share. I'll do the coding, all I need is an arena and players modeling artist and use some of OS's outstanding roster creators to help me with it. OK, if its good, I'll share it with the help.
