I'm jumping in the early access title. It's $30 with the promise that we won't have to pay the full retail price going forward with add-ons. It's in the store folks until a small time. Anyone else jumping in Dreams?

Re: Dreams (PS4)
Well, I finally had some time to put into this. I was able to shift through the dreamverse and played some created games (some were very good) and viewed some incredible contents created. One set, was for the Chinese New Year. It didn't have a price tag associated with it from what I saw, but you do go through the art creators it seems if you're going to want to use it.
After creating my Imp (your personal cursor) I was able to go through the Beginners Tutorial which is simple and intuitive. Unfortunately, I don't see an option to use move controllers with this, which I thought was supported in Early Access. Once you complete your tutorials you gain assets or building materials as you move towards a superior game editor. I noticed there was character creations - where you learn to build how your character will be, art and 3D modeling, audio mixing....There's an enormous amount of different game type tutorials to get you into it. Those who have done past Adobe Suite functions will find it similar towards your gaming creations.
Here, are some amazing creations that you can use and create..

Re: Dreams (PS4)
The Tools you use in this application is Amazing. If you've used Adobe's InDesign, After Effects, Photo Shop, Premiere, Flash apps, its all bundled and you will easily jump into this. The tutorials are simple for those who have never done gaming designs. The best key so far? The step back key
Most frustrating? What VR should help me with when it's added

Re: Dreams (PS4)
Haven't played in awhile due to completing my OS updated edited mlb show rosters and Sounds of the Show assignments but going to dive in more now. There's so much to learn that I'm still in tutorials but at a 6 ranking now lol. The amount of available creations that you can make and or play can be overwhelming so taking your time to learn the application is essential. If anyone is interested in creating a game together here from OS just chime in and let me know since we can share and help each other out even though I'm technically still a rookie with it.
Here's the Early Access trailer showing all you can do with Dreams;

Re: Dreams (PS4)
one thing I liked about project spark was that you could use kinect to make animations. I wanted to make a muay thai game with my mo-cap basic move-set and rag-doll/euphoria style impact reactions,... but it proved too difficult. Without a keyboard, and without intuitive ways to create that I gave up pretty quickly. I think these types of software usually have a type of game in mind or a couple of types and they are more level creators than anyting. Still super cool, but I wonder how hard dreams is to animate.
I would put the effort in (although perhaps fruitless) if I saw example of action/interaction in a more sports-style setting. I wish natural motion was able to get their licensing out there more when they initially made a splash and that they kept making different types of games to inspire other developers.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Here is a simple 5 min tutorial on animations that should give you an idea as an early creator how its done. Your IMP (created cursor you see bouncing around) is your best friend here...Lol.

Re: Dreams (PS4)
Okay, that's very cool. I wasn't sure if you were restricted to like platform play only. I know there was a Pacman thing above, but I figured that could still be more platform-esque than anything else.
This game seems really neat and ambitious. I hope they make it in-depth enough that it can literally be anything you desire it to be given enough time and patience.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
