I was searching for Madden 11 videos & came across this M11 vs 2K5 video

I was trying to find some new Madden videos & came across this video posted today. I searched a few pages & didn't see it so I hope it's not a repost & if so sorry.

Was 2K5 ahead of it's time or is everyone else this far behind? It's hard to believe that 2K5 is 5 years old yet seems like the more advanced game. I'm not posting this to start any issues, but I seriously find it pretty odd that Madden doesn't seem u to par even in 2010.

For the record I like the Madden demo quite a bit so far so I'm not trying to hate just being realistic with an opinion.

You are so right, it speaks volumes for NFL 2K5 and the fact that Madden can't get the "feel" of the game back. Thought it was a well balanced argument.

WOW!! That was a great video to watch. Even though I really like Madden its got me thinking,

"Who Dat gonna beat that 2k5"? Noooooooooobody!!

After watching the video I would say that 2k5 has better announcers and a better halftime show. Game play and graphic wise I would go with Madden.

The ONLY thing Madden has over 2k5 is graphics, imo, and 2k5 was made 7 years ago and the graphics aren't that bad. 2k5 gameplay, announcing, animations, tackling, etc. are far above Madden 11.

The announcing in Madden is simply atrocious, so many dead spots, Gus Johnson sounds like he has trouble controlling the volume of his voice. 2k5 announcing is much more smooth and natural.

Tackling in 2k5 is much much more realistic, because it has weight to it. If you notice in Madden sometimes a guy will get crushed from the left side, but then the ball carrier will somehow fall to the left instead of naturally falling to the right. Also, Madden doesn't even really have 2 player gang tackles, it's either one vs one, or pro-tak which doesn't even trigger that often.

I could go on and on.

Yeah 2k5 was an amazing game for it's time. Would I take it over Madden 11?? No freaking way but, the fact that this can even be brought up 5 years later speaks for itself.

Ya know i'm playing MAdden right now and has anyone else notice that 2k8 and 2k5 have two player tackle animations yet madden only has a few and little to none
