Long-time UFC President Dana White has announced several changes being made to the mixed martial-arts competition, changes that he says will help the promotion in the long run from a financial standpoint.
"We're going to lower the number of fights on a PPV card to six, with three undercard fights and three main card fights, and on non-PPV cards there will be five fights, with there being two under and three main card bouts. This will allow us to put more competition on the cards, as well as allow us to increase the longevity of our fighters' careers," said the man who has brought the UFC to international fame.
White also went on to say that "changes will be made to our rankings system ahead of our next PPV and we will begin right back with UFC 1. New system, fresh start in my eyes, as well as Lorenzo and Joe Silva's eyes as well."
The new UFC rankings will be out in the coming days and the first fight card will be released soon after.
So this is going to be kind of casual, but a fun thing to do. I will do CPU vs CPU on Hard difficulty, normal time, and watch the five and six fight cards and do short recaps of each fight, as well as FOTN, KOTN, SOTN, and the FOTY, KOTY, and SOTY. I'll do like 18 cards a year. This is going to be fun.
