From Wild Card to MxGP Champion - A MXGP2 Career Mode Adventure

    (Apologizing for my english)

Hi all! I want to share with you my experience with this videogame.

The game is based on the official MXGP Championship, the motocross championship organized by FIM (the European AMA...).

There are two categories, MX2 (250cc bikes) and MXGP (450cc bikes), in this adventure I start with an unofficial KTM in the MX2 Championship, trying to show my ability and obtain a MXGP bike for the subsequent season.

In both categories the championship is long 19 weekends. Every weekend is composed by a qualification round, a race-1 and a race-2.

I play ten-laps races (about 3/4 of the real distance), with IA level set to "real" (max) and physics on "pro" (hardest setting)...so it's not so easy.

For every manche I write a report (based on my player) with photos of the most exciting and clutch moments (even because photos explains better than my english...)
    Sorry for my english!

MX2's rookie Gensi shows talent and unconsciousness during first round in Bahrein

In his first race riding his KTM Gensi surprised during the qualifying round, earning the pole position. In the first manche, unfortunately, he collided with another rider on the first turn slipping to the end of the group.
Showing irritation he tried to come back but he continued to fell several times, ending the race in 22th (and last place).

Things changed a lot during the second manche. Jeffrey Herlings, the highest-rated rider of the MX2 category (and first manche-winner), runaway early followed only by the swiss Valentin Guillod.
Gensi battled all the race for the third place, being involved in a fight with Pauls Jonass and Jordi Tixier. He made an error at the beginning of the last lap, but he was able to recover the 4th place while Pauls Jonass was too fast for him. Gensi closed the weekend in 10th place overall , gaining 18 points, all in the second manche.

In Thailand other riders' crashes helps Gensi...until his crash!

In the second race of the season lot of confusion happened. After a not-brilliant start Gensi gained the second places thanks to lot of crashes for the riders who occupied top places, and he started to battle with Herlings for the first place. The dutch was TOO fast for him, and he decided to stay conservative and maintain the 2nd place. Unluckily, in the last lap, bulgarian Kawasaki rider Petar Petrov overtake him and Gensi, trying to answer, delayed the braking too much in one of the final corners and lost some time, finishing 6th, while Petrov won the race.

Gensi #7 in battle with Herlings #84

If Race1 was unlucky, Race2 was something more. Gensi had a good pace in this track and was again in battle for the first place when, in the last lap, he crashed out trying to overtake Anstie. It was a very close race, so the group was compact and lot of riders took advantage of his accident and he finished only 8th, while Kawasaki earned a double with Anstie in 1st and Tixier in 2nd.

Gensi achieves first win of his career after dramatic Race 1

Whoever saw Gensi's Race 1 in Patagonia could not have expected what happened before.

He finished Race 1 in the end of the group after ten lap full of errors, completely out of rhythim and apparently totally uncomfortable with the track.

In race 2 it was all different.

Gensi started well and gained a big advantage from the rest of the group, running away in couple with Championship leader Herlings.

The battle was very physycal and at some point...they collided in mid air! Herlings crashed, Gensi continued!

During the last lap Gensi watched behind him and noticed he was alone

Gensi deceives and disappoints hometown fans in Italian GP

Maybe it was the pressure. Maybe it was the inexperience.

Italian rider Gensi made an impressive start in Pietramurata Gp's, turning the first corner with the lead and a good margin, but after that he incurred in lot of errors being ejected several times from his bike.

The great #7 Gensi start in Round 1

He finished the first round only in 20th place, earning only one point and disappointing the sponsor who believed in a great performance in front of his fans.

Gensi tried to be more conservative in the second round, a race dominated by Kawasaki's couple Anstie and Ferrandis, but championship leader Herlings took his revenge of the mid-air collision in Patagonia and hit Gensi in a late third-place fight.

The Italian rider closed in 7th place while Herlings, thanks to 1st round domination, won the event.

Another "fifty" for Gensi in wild comeback in Holland

It was a great day for Austrian manufacturer KTM in Holland.
Their three riders Gensi, Jonass and Herlings dominated round 1, with the italian rider protagonist of a wild comeback.
During the 7th lap, he reached Jonass and Tixier, the leading duo, forcing Jonass to crash. The Latvian rider was able to recover until the 2nd place while Tixier, on Kawasaki, slipped 5th.

#7 Gensi in the final lap, with Jonass trailing him again

In round 2 Gensi dominated, starting with an incredible pace and creating an early gap on his enemies. Championship's leader Herlings was not at his best and could only defend the 2nd place from Tixier.

Re: From Wild Card to MxGP Champion - A MXGP2 Career Mode Adventure

Another Gensi's perfect weekend saves the day (and KTM honour) in Spain

A good rider needs a good bike to win.

                  Not always.

KTM features didn't fit well with Talavera de la Reina's track, but Gensi fell in love with the circuit and produced an all-alone race.

The only other KTM rider classified in top ten of round 1 was Jonass, 10th, while championship leader's Herlings was only 13th.

Gensi running all-alone in Round 1

Things changed a bit in the 2nd round when Herlings, still struggling, was able to catch a 5th place but no one could stop Gensi, who won with an incredible gap after a BIG start.

Gensi's stunning start of Round 2

Now the gap between him and Herlings is reduced to 53 points. It's a lot, but never appears impossible for him in this moment...
