yes, it's perfectly fine. The scouting is an abomination and horribly implemented, there's weird team-building AI and stats aren't perfect, but I'm in Year 2 of a titans franchise and play every game and love it. Gameplay is rock solid overall thanks to sliders and there's enough to make me want to keep it going.

Sim stats are terrible for passing (att/cmp/yds), red zone , field goals, fumbles, defensive sacks, and kick returns. All of which impacts XP which ultimately impacts the overall franchise experience.

There are also almost no penalties regardless of slider changes. In general franchise feels kind of soulless.

Even with all that it is still fun because it's football. I just got a PS5 so the graphics upgrade is significant. I really enjoy the mini games and progressing players I draft. And you need to draft a lot of guys because scouting is mostly pointless. EA needs to start over with scouting. Not one team in the NFL goes into the draft without a fully developed scouting report on hundreds of prospects. The fact that you go into the draft mostly blind is just dumb.

I would say it's worth it for $37

Thanks for all of those details! Drafting sounds like how the Patriots do it in real life hahaha

If you’re on PS4, the game freezes anytime you are scrolling through the free agent list or doing roster cutdowns. It’s basically unplayable. Not sure about other systems

No one can really answer this question for you. Some will say the game is unplaybable because they do not measure for first downs or because their favorite team has black facemasks but the game showcase charcoal face masks.

Some love the game for their reasons and some hate it for their reasons.

For me, I hate to say it, but it already has a measure of staleness and mind you, I only play maybe 2-3 times a week.

This is the same debate I'm having now with the $5 off coupon. I've not bought madden in 5+ years and I'm not expecting 2K when it comes to franchise mode.

But with so many UGA players now in the NFL and the ability to draft real life people I'm think I can get a few seasons out of it and be worth the $. In my case I'll be gone in a week so waiting till I get back might save me a few $.

It’s my first time playing in three years thanks to getting it on sale on Amazon. Franchise isn’t perfect but it’s fun. It just seems they’ve made some stuff like scouting and game planning overly complicated to create a sense of immersion

You think scouting and game planning are overly complicated? There are only like 4 or 5 times in the season where you actually have any input on scouting. It's pretty much auto pilot. Game planning gives you 5 choices on offense and 5 on defense. I don't know how much simpler they could make it. I think it's too simple.
