worst madden ever

before i go on my rant i'll state the obvious and save ppl the trouble. yes i just lost a big game, yes i know i am not the best at playing the game, i know i should just shut up and deal with it but i'm tired of being beat by the same **** over and over again on madden 10. here is a list of reasons why I'm considering going back to madden 09 or just stop playing madden until next year:

1. how can a computer 3 man rush get more consistent pressure than when i blitz 6 or 7 ppl (and no i don't blitz every play)
2. how can a receiver with a rating of 55 catch a ball in traffic more times than my receiver with a rating of 91 can catch wide open (and my receiver's catching rating is alot higher)
3. why is my guys don't hold their blocking, they hold it right until i get next to them and then decide to let go
4. who thinks the new broadcasting is gay, the yardage markers are cool for the first 3 times and then it just gets annoying
5. why make me choose between an injured player and their back up when you just end up putting in the injured player anyways
6. i have seen the computers receivers make 1 hand catches all the time, yet my guy can't catch the ball with two hands when its right to him
7. why is it on punt returns my blockers wait until i catch the ball to start blocking regardless of where the other team is
8. whoever decides the ratings of the players is seriously messed up

Now I am all for madden. I have bought madden every single year it has existed. However since they have no competition anymore they decide to completely screw up what was once awesome. Hopefully in madden 11 they will take a serious look at fixing these constant glitches.

this is no where near the best madden ever. but its also not the worst. it is better than all the next gen versions, although thats not saying much. its enjoyable with the right sliders and game tweaks but there are a lot of bugs that still ruin the experience.

since there is no competition they are taking their time improving the game. not that they aren't doing it but they might as well milk us for years before they give us a great game

The game has some major issues....i dont share the same gripes as the op though. I believe it to be the best next gen madden despite the lack of a lot of basic football knowleage from the developers

This isn't the worst and is far from the best. Madden 2005 was the best, and Madden 2008 was the worst, in my opinion, but if they can make the necessary adjustments and improve 11 from 10 the way they improved 10 from 09, then Madden 11 will be the best hands down. I'm just glad they are finally listening.

Now if we can just get past the pricey DLC.

The thing is that those maddens were actually good for their time. Football games were still in there infancy and madden was among the pioneers of football gaming. The problem with madden 10 is that we have played maddens that were at this level and above a generation of technology ago. While this madden may be the best on this gen, it still is just approaching and arguably not yet on the levels of the latter of the last gen maddens (05-07).

I mean how the hell do you release madden 06 on the 360 without a franchise mode? Madden 10 would probably be awesome in everyones eyes if EA could pull a Men in Black and simply erase our memories of the last gen maddens because last gen madden 05-07 are still better than madden 10 in every way except graphics.

I cant fathom for the life of me why EA decided to take madden 06 and basically start with a blank slate instead of taking madden 05 from the ps2/xbox and simply evolving it on the 360. Madden would be so much better now if they had done that.

nail on head....this is what some people just can't understand...going from playing games like GoW2 or CoD4 to Madden 10 really shows how far behind the times this game is

I will never for my entire life ever take your opinion serious on anything.

I'm sure even if you ask the developers of Madden themselves they would say this isn't the best Madden to date. Only because the game is not as smooth with gameplay and animations as last gen and doesn't have the same solid A.I as last gen. Also last gen had much better gameplay features.

Graphically yes the best Madden, but A.I , franchise, and gameplay. last gen still holds the crown on that.

Like stated before, it is the best Madden on the 360 or PS3, but the game has issues.

The OP wasn't the first person complaining about ratings. There just was a post about putting a fast DB at wr and he will tear up the nickel and dime backs, and the game will not identify him as a wr, so if u come out in a 3 wr set with the DB being one of them. The game will state 2wr package. Now that fast DB is being covered by a LB.

I guess people that belive madden 05 was the best version of madden forgot all the cheese that game made. Including the birth of the nano blitz.
