    Surprise players/teams

Players and teams that will be great that aren't expected to or are little known.

Both of these 2 were backups but will start this year.

Players: QB Steven Sheffield, Texas Tech. Guy's a beast, and energizes the team. Went 9 for 11 in the bowl game, only 2 incompletions were drops. Threw for 474, 6 TD against K-state.

QB Zach Collaros, Cincinnati. Great passer, great runner, great leader, etc.

RB Fozzy Whittaker, Texas. Clone of Jamaal Charles, and now that they'll be an I-formation run team he will get to show it.

Team: Cincinnati. They have Collaros and a defense that has nowhere to go but up.

Not sure on players, so I'll do 2 teams.

FSU LT Andrew Datko, in 2009 he only allowed 3 sacks and committed 3 penalties. He doesn't necessarily look the part, but he is one of the best OL's in CFB and should get the respect he deserves this year.

I saw them against Nevada and they absolutely dominated them despite being heavy underdogs. If they keep at that level they can win a lot of games.

The only way Fozzy is a clone of JC is his speed and moves. I haven't seen him find holes and break tackles though.

He's still our best back by a long shot. I Remember against OU when the o-line was god-awful, he was basically the whole offense that game, I think he had 100 yards. Does nothing but produce, just doesn't get the ball enough.

Goodwin's a beast returning the ball. He should be a great PR this year. Decent hands too.

Goodwin won't be PR, a. Williams will be. Goodwin's got great hands, and his chemistry with Gilbert is great.

                    Blaine Gabbert

Played with injuries last year, picks will cut down and % will increase with experience.

1st team Big 12 next year?

Jordan Todman (HB, UConn) could be set for a 2,000+ yard year, IMO. He split time with Andre Dixon last year and rushed for 1,188 yards and 14 touchdowns. Dixon ran for 1,093 yards and 14 touchdowns, as well.

And UConn could be a surprise team. I wouldn't be surprised if they win the Big East.

Mizzou will definitely surprise, with Blaine Gabbert at the controls.

And Denard Robinson is going to single handedly take Michigan to a bowl game.
