Madden 2011 PS2 GOAT , but no online

Well this might be the last year of Madden on the PS2 , as exicited as I was to pick up a copy of the last gen greatest. I'm sad to say there are no online options , you do get Gus Johnson as an added bonus and updated rosters. Honestly the game should have been 30 bucks . I mean really EA sports.

WOW had no idea they were still making Madden for PS2. Some of the best Madden games were on that system, the first couple years for PS3 were HORRIBLE (Madden 07 and 08) they finally started making a good game in 09.

Well since there really arent many PS2 Madden players anymore because PS3 Madden has been around for 5 years now, you really cant expect online features IMO from EA as a business standpoint.

However the last time I played a PS2 version (my GFs brother still had one) was the 08 version I believe and it was better than the PS3 version, plus I believe it had cool features and add ons in Franchise Mode that were exclusivly on PS2.

Well atleast when you do upgrade to a PS3 you will be saving alot more money than the gamers like myself who bought it within the first year for $600 large.

Does Madden 10 for PS2 still work online?

Or did they just take all the PS2 servers down?

Would u mind simming a season and tell me if the rbs still get way too many carries? The past few yrs in franchise backs would get 420+ every year. This will determine whether i buy the game or not.

I had a good run of Madden on the PS2 (02, 03, 08), I thought they were all great games, but after 08 it was time for me to move on. My original PS2 (now a decade old) still works and serves as the dvd player in the guest bedroom, and I have all my old games in there on the shelf in case I want to take a stroll down memory lane. I too am surprised the kept the PS2 servers up for so long.

do you know if it is possible to get the roster updates online with a ps2? i don't care about online playing...just wanted to get the updates online for my offline franchise. anybody know?

The Defensive AI and pre snap adjustments pn PS2 made that game a chess match still all these years later we dont have them on nex gen

Does it still have the awful framerates? I.e. the frequent pauses in-between plays?

Yeah , but it is not that bad. You can still enjoy the game.

Naw they sadly got rid of the radio show in 2008 I wish Ea would bring that back and the news paper

I think when Tony Bruno's contract w/EA ended, they didn't renew it. That's why he was removed from the game back then.....
