    Hosed out of the Heisman?

Does anyone else seemed to get screwed over in the Heisman race?
Jack Locker beat Dwight Dasher by over 100 votes and here are the stats. I was playing on varsity just to see if I could win it with a mid major school.

    Locker Dasher

    Rating 168.9 211.8
    Completions 279 266
    Attempts 400 381
    Yards 3668 4632
    TD's 30 49
    INT's 6 4
    Yards a game 305.7 386.0
    % 69.8 69.8
    Rushing attempts 191 118
    Yards Rushing 565 1081
    Rushing Td's 11. 17
    Rank #13 10-2 Record #4 12-0

    Seems like I got hosed.

I wonder if it takes into account who your team has played, strength of schedule, and other variables.

To me? Sounds right in my honest opinion. Per the pre-season schedule Washington has 4 Top 25 teams to play vs MTSU's single (GT). EDIT: You went undefeated with MTSU? Wow. Simulate 20+ seasons with MTSU and I bet you never, ever go undefeated. Having said that, this happens a lot in my ODs - players will post unreal numbers on weak teams and get shunned for awards. Next year the CPU seems to take notice, however. [edited due my not reading the team rankings/records the first time around]

David Klingler threw for over 5,000 yards and 54 touchdowns in 1990 and finished 5th in the Heisman voting. It's not just about stats. Not that you didn't get hosed, just saying.

Last year I won the national championship and my RB by far had the most rushing yards and he still didnt win. Im pretty sure the computer just randomly picks from the top 5

My QB Case Keenum who was leading in the Heisman race is out for 2 weeks with a bruised elbow after taking a late hit that's never called on.

So Jake Locker is now in the lead and Keenum is no longer even on the board.

            GRRRRRRRRRRRR.

The thing is he was leading for it about the last 6 weeks and MTSU had a bye in week 15 and bam he lost it. I added Bama and Texas to my schedule as well.

I bet team prestige level goes into it as well.

Yea, just like real life, as well as how well the team does like IRL. Remember Shonn Green? His senior year, he ran for 100+ in every single game. But Iowa only won 6 or 8 games that year, so he got ZERO mention in the Heisman race. If he had done that last year, not only would he have gotten Heisman love, but Iowa may well have gone undefeated. And he'd probably have won it in that case.

I love how people come here and complain about this when in fact it really models reality quite well. The Heisman Trophy is a popularity contest, plain and simple. If your scenario happened in real life it would play out the same way...although he probably would have never been the front runner.

Next think you know people will say this is "broke" and a "game killer". But if your player comes back and puts up the same stats it would be cool to see if he can win it.
