Honestly, your mod looks AMAZING! the court looks to real, way better then 2k12 IMO. Your court looks clear & bright, and the 2k12 court looks so dull & old school ish. Im amazed on how your mod looks WOW just wow!!
but.......

gameplay on 2k12 looks 20x better. They move so much smoother, way smoother. The faces look better.
In terms of the court & graphics. I give it to your MODD any day

Your 2k11 vid looked nice with the mods. I was confused at first because the players looked so much better than what I was used to.

Phenomenal mod dude, A+. That being said the animations in 2K12 make all the difference in the world, bring it!

Although your game does look amazingly well done, we are still only modding the game after the real footwork has already been done. There are no corporate deadlines or NBA imposed color palette restrictions for us. There is no 1-year development cycle to introduce improvements and get everything perfect for modders.

Modding a game for increased realism and making a game for a multimillion dollar global distributor are two completely different animals.

I like your comment, only hiccup I have in it, is the bolded section. Yet this court was made less that a few weeks after game was released, meaning it should have been designed this way from the jump. Also here is year two another title and the court still isn't too it's level. That is a problem.

I think the whole talk on color palettes controlled by the NBA is garbage, Live 10 has the same contracts and they never had a problem with getting colors correct. I didn't want to mention that game, because I don't really want to compare it into the equation! But it's a true statement, they never had pink shoes, and incorrect things like this....

You have to know from my history I'm an insane 2k fan, and honestly I have to say they are the best visual artist on the planet. But to get these small details and colors off, since 2k8 on this gen consoles is just terrible, how hard is it, too insert color: #CD0000 instead of color: #CD1076!

So I can get red instead of pink, and that dds piece for the court tiles, can be edited and placed back into the game in less that 4 minutes. That's how long it took Mythbuster, dRosebulls, Amarowaade etc to edit it.

Little details like that are what I'm talking about! Not to mention the Rondo in 2k11 modded, still looks better than that old man looking version in 2k12. They said they fixed most of the faces this year, yet he looks worse.

Visuals make a difference...Thanks for you feedback and a good post..

I think the players faces look better than the default 2k11 vs 2k12. I agree with that.

Great - another thread complaining about the same thing people have discussed in other threads... only disguised as a video thread.

Sorry BS - but I don't see this one lasting long.

BTW, your comparison is a bad one. You're using hacked mods on a PC system to compare to the 360 version of the game. You don't have to account for licensing, stability on MULTIPLE types of systems or anything else.

WOW incredible how much better the gameplay looks on 2k12! So much more real!!

As for the colors, it's true that the moded one looks closer to the original BUT I prefer the toned down sepia one from 2k12. Since I will be staring for hours, days, months at that Boston court it's important to me that the colors are kind to my eyes.

Never fails for the man who hates me the most on OS to say things like this....

And yeah I ripped them a new one about outdated graphics engines. I'll admit to that. Because the graphics look better each year with their old engine, or is it a new graphics system, with the old gameplay tech. Who knows?

Either way! I like how you try to downplay stuff with the term hack mod, lol. It's using similar technology they have at 2k HQ to made the edits, you don't have to hack the game to get correct colors, especially when the palettes are already in the game, when you hit edit player, you just change pink to red. Question is why is the team by default set to pink.

(Note: The comparison wasn't from PC to 360, it was just showing that it could be done by default, why isn't it getting done: This isn't a PC vs 360 thing, it's a details why not thing)

And I don't see why they would get a fine from the NBA to get a wood texture the right shade, which is 17% darker (SMH)

Be good Pared and continue to stalk and terrorize me on OS, without your constant criticism I wouldn't work harder to be right...

And you expect this to be a fair comparison???

Edit - "the man who hates you the most on OS?" Save the drama, please. I'm bringing up what you've mentioned. You also know these videos are just to show off things you've installed in your game.

It's not a gameplay comparison, it's a details comparison...I know FRAPS killed the video, I know that I don't run with the Celtics, I was playing long enough to show graphics...SMH...are you really going to start stalking my thread so your negativity can run on others.

Your post served no point, and how is this getting publicity when I don't make a cent to preview it, second if you read the original post, it was just to show in defense of dRosebulls, comments earlier about details being overlooked as to realism.

2k is going overboard on the gameplay and are having it almost perfected, they are even improving the player models, why not give us better details to Arenas, that was the point!

Others have mentioned it in this thread and others - not sure what else you need when many can see this isn't a fair comparison at all, no matter what you're focusing on.

Thread title says video comparison - and they don't compare for the reasons I stated.
