I lucked out and got my copy from Amazon in the mail tonight.

It really is a hybrid of Madden 12 & 13. The new commentary is in, but they don't show Phil and Jim in the booth. The franchise mode seems like a hybrid as well - it has a new layout, no 32 team control, some of the coach scheme stuff that's in CCM, but it retains the old practice mode. No RTP, as we already knew. No custom playbooks. There is an option for superstar mode but I haven't checked it out.

There is some slowdown, although its never during the plays, and really minimal in the playbook. It's most noticeable during the cutscenes. It has default, zoom, wide and broadcast cams.

The audio issues from the demo are nonexistent, and the slowdown seems improved as well, although not totally fixed as mentioned above.

I love it so far, especially because of the franchise mode. After a couple of days with the early release on PS3, I could see myself playing this instead of the console game this year.

Updated my post - the audio is fixed, the slowdown seems a little better but not perfect.

Also, no refs on the field, and guys with no numbers standing on the sidelines.

For me this isn't a deal-killer as there have been Maddens on PS3/360 this gen without refs on the field for chrissakes.

I absolutely loved the demo....even on the eve of me picking up both the Vita and PS3 versions when my 24 hour shift is over, I just keep replaying it. I played the hell out of the psp Madden for years and can't see how reviews are so negative with how amazing this handheld football game has become.

Also-

I signed in online and it prompted me to download a new roster, so it looks like there will be some roster updates.

They played the Jeopardy music during a challenge.

They let you pick a team but they don't allow you to choose the number of teams in franchise mode, so that makes me think no 32 team control. I will check again in a minute though. On a positive note, they DO allow you to edit players in franchise.

I'm so on the fence about buying this. The slow gameplay according to IGN is very noticeable. I'll have to wait and see this in action before I buy.

Two questions, if you have time:

1. Can you do a fantasy season?
2. If you get a chance to try superstar mode, is it like MLB Road to the Show?

I didn't see any option for a fantasy draft. I will check out the superstar mode tomorrow.

I'll say this about the slowdown- its similar to what you see on MLB The Show. I play that game all the time so it doesn't bother me. If it bugged you on The Show then don't get this game.

I love u man!!!! Lol.... This is the version that is going to eat up my time... Heck I just live the Vita and I enjoyed the demo greatly.... Can wait until tomorrow to pick it up... Thanks for ur impressions man.... As most know I have been more egar to get this then most on here... Can't wait

They need to hurry up and release it on the PSN....i'm tired of playing with the same two teams (well only the Pats, little blue can go u know where) and in 2 min mode.

Can you change the game speed and is it the same options as the console versions eg v. slow, slow, normal, fast, v. fast?

Also, I'm in the uk so the online pass won't work, so I don't think I will be able to get updated rosters, is it possible, and does anyone know if anyone will be able to upload rosters like some people do with the 360/ps3? I don't know what it was like with the psp.
