Fernando Rodney, the best closer in the show history.

I love being the rays just because of him, the circle change is an absolute knockout pitch, if you are playing the rays and its a save situation, good luck cause hes so tough.

Anyone else got a closer/reliever they love

Luke Gregerson is the only one that comes to mind at the moment that I bring in and can do damage with

I used Jonathan Pabelbon yesterday - a guy I usually tee off against.

Struck out the side. Loved it.

              Rodney is sick...

But I can't use him in my franchise.
Hate the tilted hat and antics.

I go with Mo if I can get him.

For historical sets....I go with Lee Smith. MONSTER.

No BoSox or Phil's for me please.
Of these I like Nathan the most.
& of all relievers in 13, I'd roll with Kimbrel.

I just thought it was interesting Rodney's not amongst the leaders.

Since the Show's inception in '06, he has 123 saves

You understand why though, right? Not sure what the total # of saves has to do with this converstation in the first place.

The save statistic is one of the worst in baseball. Using it to determine player quality is just silly.

                            Couldnt agree more.

A man can come in with a 3 run lead, pitch appallingly, give up 2 walks, 3 hits, 2 runs, be all over the place and still get the save.

Your right, however there's still just a handful of pitchers that can do it consistently for a considerable amount of time.
