Quick Count Pitch Counts
From the 10 or so games I've played so far, I've noticed something with quick counts that really kind of irks me. I mean it has no statistical implications but in almost every game I've played the pitchers have thrown 50%, if not more, balls.
I also seem to encounter more 3 ball at bats than not. For example in my game so far, I have Adam Wainwright pitching (one of the top control pitchers in the league). Through 5 innings, he has thrown 97 pitches(51 strikes and 46 balls). Of those 97 pitches, I've thrown 39, with a strike percentage of 79%. So I've thrown 30 strikes and 9 balls. So with this information, it seems to me, that the game has generated 37 balls to 21 strikes for me. That seems outrageous, especially for a pitcher like Adam Wainwright. I really like generated counts and will continue to use it but its just something that's bothered me so far. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk |

Yeah I've seen the same thing. It's pretty frustrating because once the guy goes north of 100 pitches it gets bad real fast.
Hopefully it's something that can be tweaked by the sliders or an update. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Quick Count Pitch Counts
Those are actually typical pitch count and strike % you see in real MLB games.

This link says that it is around 62% strikes and 38% balls. http://www.efastball.com/baseball/pi...to-ball-ratio/ I think I'll just continue playing and see how it goes. I don't know it just seemed odd to me. |
