So we are now 14 days from when the patch was submitted to MS and 4 days from when the patch was submitted for international PS4 owners.

This thread is for people to vent and update others (if there are updates) about this issue. This is not a thread to bash the developers and the TOS applies to this thread. Anyone who violates this will be banned.

      thanks ah32!

Communication from 2k and Sony Australia has dried up my end ... I expected it first thing monday morning, then again first thing this morning. but nada.

At this point I'm sure people don't need/ want to know specifics of the hold up and reasons why ... that can be for another time, moving forward to maybe ensure it doesn't happen again?

right now, just a little indication as to when we can expect it would be lovely.

Thanks for finally creating this thread. I've barely played since the PS4 patch came out because I can see how good the game can be. Before I thought the game was great, but now I can see the little imperfections that were fixed and suddenly I can't ignore them. I just wish that Microsoft and 2K will at least break radio silence. It feels like it's been forever since they have said anything. Hopefully it will be out by Friday, after my finals.

I just wish I either never knew the patch was coming or didn't read the patch impressions. I have been holding off on playing 2k until the patch comes out but I need my bball fix lol. Can't lie like I'm not a little annoyed but I understand it must be something up out of 2k's control. I'm loving what I'm hearing from the ps4 owners though

                Venting:

I don't think professionalism has necessarily been shown by LD2K or Ronnie. I haven't seen any sympathy or understanding.

Since it's technically not their fault they pass it off and literally ignore everyone about it. Instead of being open, trapsarent about what they know and showing they care they normally completely ignore people being upset.

For example, They say they will update us on the timetable as soon as they can. Then they completely ignore the issue (to make 2K look better) and days later they give a generic response "It will come out when Microsoft approves it"

That is not an update on the status. If they could not get an update they could have been transparent about the process.

From watching a stream of LD2K I like that he is a regular guy but I've seen a huge lack of professionalism. He makes his my team, makes it after a curse word, and 2k searches for curse words in the name, and he says "what is this cheese?" For people who like cursing or don't mind it no big deal. Of course he spelled it differently to avoid it flagging. But he is the representative of the company and doing everything against company policies directly on his stream. A very minor example, and cussing isn't something that personally offends me, but I think it gives a picture of the type of character I've seen. Since he isn't the person responsible for the patch he feels no responsibility to the community to be transparent and update us properly, thinks it's "not his problem". Of course he will rebuke I'm sure by saying how he cares, but the updates he has given don't lie. He hasn't given a single legitimate update besides blaming microsoft or saying that it will be released soon. Instead of telling us what the hold up is he just posts a generic answer once every 2 days to get people off his back, that's not caring.

A person that is SUPPOSED to be deeply involved in the 2K community shouldn't have this type of attitude. Honestly I prefer a lot of things about NBA Live, and I think NBA Live released a massively underrated game. I think the problems with 2K are problems that for the most part won't be addressed.

But their updating to signature shots, rosters, the quality of the game, game modes, etc. has been winning me over. Also I feel the quality of their patch would seem to be superior to the patch of NBA Live.

But as someone teetering back and forth between games, things like this are things that directly push me to NBA Live. It's not having to wait for the patch, it's how their leaders have handled it.

This is venting. I am not directly attacking developers. I am constructively criticizing the handling of the situation.

With that being said I have had like 4 off days waiting for this patch, and now I have to work for like 7 straight days, so it's really dissapointing. At the same time I understand it COULD BE somewhat out of their hands, though in my estimation I'm sure they messed up the patch and MS sent it back to be fixed. I just wish they would tell us that. *drops mic*

That can't be so, because what excuse would they have for not also releasing wwe 2k15 patch which also dropped on the same day as the nba 2k15 patch?

Both wwe 2k15 and nba 2k15 both came out with patches on the same day and the x1 users have to wait. Both still has not showed up. What would the excuse be for wwe 2k15 then?

the part that really spins me out is, it's been 2 weeks, still no patch for more than half the users who paid money for the game ... and at this stage the end is nowhere in sight.

no reasons why, no timelines we can expect to get it.

Um, I totally understand the frustration and lack of communication by the 2K web guys but Live as a massively inferior game to 2K. Pre-patch 2K15 is already an infinitely better game than Live. Spurning the better product out of frustration with a couple of guys not tweeting as often as we'd like seems completely irrational to me.

Also, speaking of how corporate leaders have handled things-- it's BARELY a year since EA and Live committed a campaign of showing things that were hardly representative of their game in promotionals, hid gameplay all the way up to a bit before launch, and released one of the most terrible sporting products of all time. And that was AFTER 3 years of doing the same thing without even being able to publish a shippable product.

They've learned a lot about humility since then but Live is HARDLY the beacon for transparency, professionalism, quality, and forthrightness in basketball gaming. I played Live, and honestly, it's improved, but it's still pretty horrible compared to 2K. Sig shots? Live's authenticity and signature moves don't begin to scratch what 2K has already done. The signatures I'm least pleased with in 2K are still better than the best ones in Live.

It's seriously like deciding to eat out of the dumpster just because the waiter takes a little too long to bring the A1 at the steakhouse. It's like moving to North Korea because you don't like Obamacare.

We all want the patch, but let's retain some perspective here.

                            ok, my conspiracy vent.....

today, assassin's creed unity was to receive it's 4th patch.

#1) ubisoft announced over the weekend (saturday, december 13) that the 4th patch would be releasing today (monday, december 15) across ALL platforms. link here: http://www.joystiq.com/2014/12/12/as...rrives-monday/

"The fourth major bug-killing patch for Assassin's Creed Unity will launch across all platforms on Monday, Ubisoft announced today."

#2) today, the day the patch was to release, ubisoft announced they were delaying the patch for "a few more days" to tweak more things in the patch. link here: http://www.joystiq.com/2014/12/15/as...furbish-paris/

"We are committed to delivering major performance improvements, which requires that we refurbish the Paris map and that will take a few more days to hit the high level of quality our players deserve," the publisher said.

what i want to know is how does ubisoft seem to have so much clarity and control over when/where/how long delays will take? how do they know microsoft's AND sony's patch roll out schedule? firstly, if they're still tweaking it, how could they know 3 days ago that it was coming out today? how could they know it will pass certification and be ready in "a few more days"? weren't we always told certification takes 10-14 days after final patch edits/tweaks are done and turned in?

it just seems so opposite of what we always thought we knew of console certifications that ubisoft knows exactly everything -- so much that they can even note specific days even before they even say they're done with tweaking a patch. it almost feels like we 2k fans get "i dunno, ask them" while ubisoft fans get patch release dates, mass apologies (including a free game), etc.

how in the heck do they know ms will certify it and how in the heck do they know when ms will roll it out?

maybe they could share their secrets with 2k. i'm just sayin'.

This wouldn't really bother me if it wasn't such a key patch. Like if it was just a patch to tighten up gameplay and fix a few bugs than okay cool, I'll wait...
But nah, it literally changes the whole defensive side of the game (which I prefer to offense) and I been playin a lot of park lately and I need this patch to fix the delay..same with the rec center, I can't even play till that framerate junk gets cleared up.

A little disappointed with how 2K handled this whole situation, no real communication with it's community about what happened and only releasing it for the company they have the partnership with looks shady..keyword: looks.
Not gonna say it was intentional but either way it's just not a good look.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.
