2K PLEASE patch on ball D!!! ASAP

Ive been playing 2K since Iverson was coverboy (ESPN)....i dont want to hear "go practice" from folks either...how do u practice against glue???...im dribbling like a damn harlem globetrotter...cant shake AI to save my life lol...AI playing onball D like "demon jordan" on intro....thats my ONLY issue with this game!!...how was this not play tested??...yall actually ok'd this glue like defense??? i didnt know everybody in NBA played onball D like ron artest in his prime lol...why do we have dribble isos if they are useless???....patch this please

If all you're concerned about is iso 1 on 1 basketball this is the wrong game for you. I agree some very minor tuning is in order but the more you guys blow this thing out of proportion the worse off this game is going to be two-three months from now.

Spend some time running plays. Work a game plan beyond "globetrotter" basketball.

Great you've been playing 2k since Iverson was the coverboy. But how long have you've been playing NBA2k16 since Curry, Harden and Davis has been the cover boys. These are some videos posted by members here on operationsports.

I keep missing w Curry during practice and i don't know why. It's always either slightly late or slightly early....it is never perfect i swear of God. And test all shots release quickly. ...release a bit quicker everything...i mean if u already have a hard time making shot during practice w no defender. ..imagine how hard is going to be with one. Then i say screwed this practice crap....im heading online ranked...and the shot is falling. ...what the helll lol. Maybe practice mode is screwed up.

Ball movement is key to success in 2k. I rarely have success using iso 1 on 1 but tons if I use the weight of the defender against him.

I'm pretty sure you are in the minority here bro...game plays great, no need to nerf on ball in my eyes...sorry, but, this a bit of different game this year, I could complain myself as I'm not anywhere close to how good I was at 2k15 in 2k16. To me, that's a good thing, practice makes perfect, shot releases have changed a bit, the passing has changed, and dribble moves have changed among other things. It will take time to get where I want to be. I'm sure the said could be said for you too, no??

Patch centers being able to lock down/glue point guards in an isolation..

Patch every other dunk being blocked by anyone, point guards even.

Otherwise D is fine imo.

Patch every other dunk being blocked by anyone, point guards even.

Watch the videos in this thread. Obviously centers can't all lock down point guards in isolation. Kaman gets beat like a drum in these videos.

Honestly, I think some of it is people not understanding spacing. They think they have the defender beat, but they take a lane to the hoop that is too close to the defender. If you go a little more outside (or inside depending upon how you look at it), you get right past him. If you try to cut it too close, they get sucked back and cut you off from getting to the basket

It's not about spamming dribble moves, dude. Post a video of a typical possession. I guarantee someone can watch it and tell you what the problem is.

I get caught up trying the 2k15 tactics, and fail sometimes. The key this year is paying attention to the defense. Is the defender shading you? Did he actually bite on a fake?. A lot of times I see people spamming dribble moves and actually missing the point where the defense makes a mistake.

The only think I dislike about the game is the frequent blocked/missed dunks. How many players in real life go up for dunks only to be about a foot or so short and just hurl the ball towards the goal.. Idk why 2K even added that animation.

While we're at it, why don't we make it so that the game rewards you for playing iso ball. I think it's unfair that I can't get past a good defending guard when I used a billion dribble moves before I lose the ball. Here's what I think they should do:

1. Revert back to the 2K15 dribbling system
2. Take out the jostling by CPU defenders
3. Make the physics better so I don't lose the ball after hitting a dribble move through people
4. Lower the defensive IQ when I actually get past the super CPU defender so I can score easier

Now read that back a few times. Don't play isoball, play basketball.

2K please don't patch on ball defense. This is what made NBA 2K16 a huge difference maker from NBA 2K15. If people can't handle this much of defense then I don't know what kind of basketball they're used to playing or seeing. People do realize that they can edit the sliders and lower the difficulty right ?
