Practice squad auto sign

I'm very precise when it comes to my CFM. I only like to make my own moves and decisions. I don't like the CPU making any moves for me. During week 4 of the preseason I made my usual cuts and assigned a few guys to my practice squad. After simming week 4 of the preseason I went to view my transactions and saw that the CPU signed a bunch of guys to my practice squad. I assume I should've manually filled my squad instead of only assigning 4 of my own players to it?

i just noticed and dealt with this today as well.... and like u wasnt very happy... so gonna restart my cfm and intentionally sign a bunch of guys in week 1 or 3 or preseason that i want on my practice squad to avoid this

Was this owner mode? I think I read somewhere that this problem is tied to being an owner.
At least it has been acknowledged by John White and they're looking into it.

Happened to me as well in coach mode. 2 new features (practice squad, formation subs) and they are bugged. Hope they fix it

Yes it appears if you don't fill your own Practice Squad, the CPU will fill the remaining slows for your from FA.

There is an On/Off option in franchise mode called "Fill Roster". Not sure if turning that off would help.

Yup this is the issue. I noticed this at the start of CFM that the switch is flipped to ON for the CPU to "Fill Roster". You have to turn this off.

Sorry but I turn this off for every cfm I play right at the start. Practice squad is still auto filled at the end of pre season. CPU does it for every team. If yours is empty it is filled automatically no matter the setting.

I have all CPU help turned off as well. It's really not a huge issue. All I did was cut all the guys they signed for me and signed my own practice squad guys.

Sorry but I turn this off for every cfm I play right at the start. Practice squad is still auto filled at the end of pre season. CPU does it for every team. If yours is empty it is filled automatically no matter the setting.

I'm already out of preseason in week 3 now and I haven't touched anyone in my practice squad. The AI didn't auto-fill my spots.
