Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
9/16/16 - Danny Ainge has shocked the NBA world with a sudden announcement that he has decided to retire as GM of the Celtics. He will remain on in a special adviser role. He will also help Wyc Grousbeck in the search for a new GM.

Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
9/17/16 - Shockingly Grousbeck & Ainge have quickly named their new GM and it is someone that is relatively unknown by many in the NBA. Jeremy M will be taking over this great franchise, but will remain under the tutelage of Ainge while he learns the ropes.
Boston hopes they have a great future ahead with a young GM handling the roster decisions and one of hottest, young coaches, Brad Stevens, managing the X's and O's. Only the future will tell if this bold decision pays off or back fires in their face. |
Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
Offseason Recap Boston had a really interesting offeason in what turned out Danny Ainge's last hurrah. The big news was signing top free agent Al Horford and drafting Jaylen Brown with the 3rd pick in the draft. Another big story was "what might have been" as the rumor mill was working overtime both before the draft and during the peak of the offseason with names like Jimmy Butler, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor all rumored to be headed to Beantown at one time or another. All of fire that was warning up with those rumors turned out to be nothing but smoke. However, with Danny still overseeing things don't be surprised if he and Jeremy M reach out to other teams early and often this season. Key Additions - Al Horford, Jaylen Brown and Gerald Green Key Losses - Evan Turner, Jared Sullinger Projected Depth Chart X factor - Crowder(mins) PG - Thomas (33), Smart (22), Rozier SG - Bradley (32), Green (12), Young, Hunter SF - Crowder (31), Brown (14) PF - Johnson (28), Jerebko (15), Mickey C - Horford (33), Olynyk (20), Zeller The high-energy, defensive-minded 26-year-old was one of the NBA's most improved players last season, posting career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, steals, field goal percentage, three-point percentage and minutes. He's not be the biggest star in Boston, but with his do-it-all capabilities, he might just be the team's most important asset. |
Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
October/November Schedule
*note - I'm going to play Game 6 against Denver in the place of the second Chicago game that way I can play against different teams to start the season. |
Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
Following. Eager to see how Big Al (Go Gators!) does in Beantown. I'm happy to see him finally land on a team that's got a chance to win it all ... he deserves a title. Dude's underrated.
Also looking forward to seeing how you develop Marcus Smart. |
Re: (Champion) 'Shipping Up To Boston'
If you sign Hayward, I'm boycotting your Dynasty.
