    the body-up sens slider

i made a thread in the general forum a week ago, but didn't get much feedback from it

does anyone understand how this slider works and how it affects driving? which way should i adjust the slider so i stop getting these bump animations that constantly make me pick up the ball, and instead get those animations where i dip my shoulder and the defender rides me to the basket?

The lower you set it the easier it is to get around the defender and the less you will get the "brick wall" animation that forces you to stop and pick up the ball.

weird... i ran a quick test and i found it to be the opposite. i set it at 100, and i was able to squeeze past defenders pretty well. i dunno - maybe it was just placebo and the way i was approaching it mentally.

      thanks for ur input though.

Other sliders factor into it (I had it at 100 and could get around defenders just fine if I lowered CPU Lateral Quickness and/or Acceleration). However the times I DIDN'T get around the defender I hit a brick wall and picked up the ball.

With it at 0 I can get past defenders with ease and never have that "brick wall" animation.

I also believe difficulty has something to do with it. On HOF I wasn't seeing hardly any knocked away balls on either side running on 0/100 and 100/0.

On-ball Defense set to 0 works beautifully.

Something happened because no matter what I set it at, or other sliders, I get the brick wall animation and lots of other animations where the defense just plain shuts me down. I can't even walk around the perimeter sometimes without them literally running into me with 2 hands and I pick up my dribble.

Im going thru exact same thing. I make an adjustment to some stuff to get to play ok one night. Next night I fire game back up, it's like something was done to reverse what I worked on previous night. So I tinker with a little more. And I save everytime. Not being able to turn the corner on defender or drive baseline is killing the game for me, as it is for a lot of people.

I can set the CPU's on-ball D to zero. Their body-up to zero. And their lateral quickness to zero. And they STILL play un-Godly on-ball D.

Ok at least I'm not the only one having this issue also. I think ever since they made the patch or that update couple days ago. Before i can blow past my defenders using a couple iso moves and crossovers, now i just either lose the ball.

                        Try setting..

                        Driving Contact Frequency to "0"
                        Inside Contact Frequency to "0"

I've noticed these two sliders have the biggest effect on all the suction/ stone wall defense.

You will definitely notice a difference when driving to the basket with these sliders at 0.
