Forced retirement for 99 player
Going into my fourth year as a QB rated 99 overall, no team would offer me a contract so I was forced to retire. Did this happen to anyone else? I'll really have to start all over again every couple of seasons or do people get picked up after that?Tags: None -

LOL I am sorry dude. That's a clearly broken feature.

Might have been the contract demands (which you can't control) were larger than all 32 teams cap space?Comment

Re: Forced retirement for 99 player
I just started a new one. I didn't have a choice because the only option was to retire. It might have been the salary cap as someone stated.
I really didn't do anything special. I was playing on pro so I was racking up numbers even though we were losing by giving up 40-50 points every game(49ers) so I was getting a lot of XP. Upgrade the 3 accuracy attributes and you're basically guaranteed to be a 99.

Re: Forced retirement for 99 player
Definately easy to get a qb to 99 after 3 years. I only play 4 games a year and sim the rest and can't remember not having any decent drafted qb a 99 after 3 years if he plays.Comment

Must have your XP sliders turned way up, I drafted a monster QB and he's still only an 86 in season 3, lolComment

Re: Forced retirement for 99 player
I draft based on throwing power. That is the most important thing for developing a pocket Passer or strong arm qb and is quite expensive to upgrade. If it is not at least an a- I will not draft them.Comment
