    Preventing Player Retirement?

    Hello,

So I recently finished my first year of a franchise in The Show using the OSFM V1.5 rosters. Such a great thing every year to have these!

I'm at the day right after the season ends, only option is to jumping into the offseason. Running into a bit of a problem, no matter what I do Shohei Otani retires every time (signed to a team).

I know it's kind of a bug or something the game does with players with players on expiring contracts. Just wondering, is there any way to stop him from retiring or am I SOL at that point?

I've tried everything I can think of. Raised his potential, overall, injured a bunch of A players, raised their age to 45. Seems like no matter what I do it's going to happen.

Does anyone have a way around this? Appreciate you taking the time to read this! Thank you.

I think if he was a F/A that was signed after the season started and it was to a 1 yr deal he was automatically retire due to "poor FA pool" or something like that... at least thats how it was with some guys in previous versions of the game

Any player in the Free Agent Screen after June 1st of the season usually retires. I'm afraid you're stuck at this point. You could copy his attributes and video his face attributes and re-create him in the next season.
