Is there no way to start as an expansion team anymore in MYGM? I am hearing that it is no longer an option. This is a huge downer for me. Why would they do that?

You can definitely have expansions in Myleague as I loaded that up first to check some stuff for myself. Haven't tried MyGM yet but with it being a story driven mode now it's possible you can't do an expansion.

I'm mainly a MyGM/League/Quickplay player. I'm debating on whether to get this, 2K17, or Live 18 (I can get it through EA Access for $35 digital).

Currently I own 2k16 and I downloaded 2k17 during a free weekend at some point last year and I loved all the different options for playing around in MyGM mode. Are there enough positive differences between the MyGM/MyLeague from 2k17 to 2k18 to be worth the extra price?

Or should I jump ship to EA and get Live 18 instead?

Okay then, so 2k17 or 2k18?

Why would you need to buy 2k17 if you already downloaded it when it was free?

I'm still waiting for mine to update so I can't say specifically, but if you don't have any game currently then it's almost always worth it to get the newer version... unless you can pick up 2k17 for like $25. The newer version will be supported by the devs and have a much bigger online community, whereas 2k17 will die really fast. People nitpick and complain about little things every year, but I honestly can't see any argument other than it gets better every year (arguing whether enough changes to make it worth an annual $60 is a different thing).

I know 2K's presentation is very good and they keep improving as years go on but did they finally add game highlights of other games in progress yet to their myleague/franchise yet? Or did they add any semblance of TV features from their excellent past NFL 2k5 football presentation?

I have seen it posted that we can edit the ages of the all time team players. Can we also edit the ages of historic team players?
