I just wanted to let you all know that we just Kickstartered the final stretch of our first game, Desktop Dynasties: Pro Football!!

The basic idea of the game is that it's 8-on-8 football, where you only have 12 roster spots on your team. That means each roster spot is critical, and players need to play on offense, defense, and special teams.

The main goal of this campaign if to finish off the graphics/sound, and to gather a good base of early-alpha testers. Please feel free to join us!

Let me know if there are any questions about the game. I'd be happy to answer as much as I can.

Interesting idea, it reminds me of the older Arena League where guys were expected to play both ways. Is this going to be PC only? If so, what are system requirements?

It's going to start as PC only, but I hope to move into PS and XBox. I'm still working out the system requirements, but the goal is to be able to play it on a low-end PC. Right now I'm playing on a MS Surface 3, with video capture software running, and the development environment open in the background, with no issues.

When the early-alpha version is ready to go, I should be able to get more detail for you.

This game has a lot of potential for anyone wondering. I have been following the development and this game has a lot of care put into it to make it feel right.

The game works now, but I can still make changes to the overall feel of it. I'm hoping we get enough interest to have a solid group of early-alpha testers, to help me nail down some of the final details.

I'll be ready to start early-alpha testing after the Kickstarter ends. (27 days)

The game still has a lot of interface quirks, but those should be sorted out by then.

I'm willing to test, assuming my laptop can handle it. If not, maybe the wife's Macbook can. Either way, let me know if you need another body. Truth be told though, I'm not a PC gamer, so I might SUCK lol

I'm not sure you can suck too badly in the game. It's purely coach-mode, so the players do all the hard stuff.

Quick update on the Kickstarter.... well, I cancelled it. As it turns out, Kickstarter isn't the right platform for building the community I want. In the end, I'm moving over to a platform that seems more suited to what we need.
