    Picking an end in overtime

This has annoyed me for more versions of Madden than I can remember. How the heck are you supposed to know which end to pick in overtime? It just says left or right - which means absolutely nothing when there’s a huge wknd.

I swear I always have to kickoff into the wind

Doesn't it also tell you which way the wind is going?

I think wind says North/South East/West which does little because it doesn't say which one is left or right lol

        Exactly.

I have no idea if defending left has anything to do with a westerly wind. It’s a huge deal. I remember losing a super bowl a couple of maddens ago because I just guessed which end had the 30MPH wind, but guessed wrong.

I’m surprised this hasn’t annoyed every single player

Well to be fair reading the boards on this game it sounds like there is alot to be annoyed about so maybe they haven't gotten around to this one yet.

I wish the coin toss would come back in the game, I miss that part and yes I remember before you could choose which end as it would show you wind

I always pick kick off instead of receive and I find it funny I always seem to get what I want. You’re telling me not a single team wants to kick off ever?!?! Ive player at least 80-90 games and I always kick off. And Always get ball at halftime. Smh once 2k comes out this game is getting unistalled. Definitely just bought the same exact game for 60 bucks

Re: Picking an end in overtime

when you could pick and saw wind going one way it was actually the reverse

hc06 asked do you want to receive or do you want the wind behind in 4th qtr if you won the toss simple. should be same for overtime

He's talking about in overtime, not for the regular kickoff at the beginning of the game. Even at that rate, he's not talking about picking kick or receive, he talking about how you're unable to tell the wind direction. Did you read his post?

Anyway, that might be a glitch. I leave it on receive and it's about a 50/50 split that way.

They need to just change the language to with or against the wind. I've never quite gotten it down.

I read his post. I detailed the thread with my own personal gripe. Not really worth creating my own thread but still just another annoying thing regarding kickoffs in general

In the setting at the bottom there are options for kick/receive and with wind/against wind. I think it goes by what you have set there.

You always get what you want because ever since they took the coin toss out and made it a "setting" the cpu is ALWAYS set to receive. So if you change your setting to kick you will "win" 100% of the time because basically both sides are saying the cpu should get the ball first every game. You have to leave it on recieve (and technically hope you lose which does sort of feel wierd) if you want a mix.

Not saying I agree with that, I wish they would bring back the coin toss personally (why fix what wasn't broken), just saying that's why it does that

I don't choose a side in OT and when the timer is up madden automatically puts you on the side that is with the wind
