New to MLBtheShow - Can you suggest me rosters, sliders some pointers?

I just bought a PS4 and MLB the Show 19 today. I haven't really played the game in over 6 years. Hell, as an older gamer I haven't owned a PlayStation since the PS2.

So I see some Roster files and Sliders on the online section. Which are the recommended ones people use the most here?

I'm planning to play FRANCHISE mode 75% and maybe some RttS.

I'm planning to rebuild bad franchises. I'm planning to start with Pittsburgh Pirates

A quick glance at some of them seemed like Rosters with complete minor leagues (Which I want VERY much) seem to be behind on some players currently, for example Josh Bell being in 75 or so, while some rosters lack minor league players but big league players seem more up to date.

What about Slider files? What's a good one for realistic #s for the Franchise mode?
And also a good fun one for Rtts?

And can you also point out some quirks of the current game? Like bunts or broken, stealing is too OP, trading in Franchise is too easy, Potential stat is bad, X method of pitching & Y method of batting and Z camera mode is the most recommended one, etc.

    thank you very much

What method of hitting and pitching do you want to use ? What difficulty level do you think you are at ? As for rosters I would recommend full minors v3 in the vault, just search by downloads in the roster vault and it will be on the first page.

Thanks! I haven't played The Show in years so I'm not sure which method of pitching or batting to go with yet. I
I'll probably start off on easy mode and hopefully get comfortable with "hard" level or the level most sim type fans play here.
Ill give that a roster a look.
Is usually going with rosters/sliders with the best ratings & download #s a good idea?

As you’re just starting, I strongly recommend going pure default sliders and setting everything to dynamic difficulty. Once you stabilize at a particular level and feel good about it, THEN you can try out a slider set appropriate for your skill.

This game really is nicely balanced at default, you don’t need sliders for the game to play well.

Armor's sliders. Plug in and enjoy.

Agreed , start with dynamic difficulty for awhile to see about where you are at for difficulty and what pitching and hitting interfaces you prefer before worrying about sliders

Armor and Josh are the best around for sliders. Can't go wrong with either.

The Dynamic difficulty feature seems great for a beginner/return gamer for this game. Thank You

                    Thanks for the help.

I'll try out those rosters when I finally start up my franchise mode. So many uploaded online roster files, it was a bit daunting at first

                      I’ll echo dynamic difficulty/default sliders.

Are you planning on playing every game? Simming? That could also affect slider and difficulty decisions.

Also, I would recommend a few years of testing via simulated season in franchise mode to get a handle on the draft, free agency, etc. I was new to the game last year and jumped right in without learning how anything really worked. I ended up investing a lot of time in a franchise I ultimately wasn’t happy with because I made dumb mistakes early on.

Thanx. I think dynamic difficulty is a great option. Played a few games , so far I'm having fun. Still figuring out what the best pitching & batting style is for me. Although the pulsating pitch style was a lil annoying Imo. And I guess I'm still used to the old "zone/moving the bat" batting style.

Love the Full Minors v3? Roster file. But kinda sad the big league's roster individually isn't up to date as some other rosters, like for example Josh Bell still having only average Power

I plan to run a full 182 game franchise and probably play 1/3 of em and sim the rest.
Any sliders to fiddle specific for Franchise mode? Like lowering injuries or trade frequency etc.?

I do miss NBA 2K's "Allow AI trades but also allow the option for me to force or veto trades"
Also sucks you can't edit contracts.
I don't really expect realistic trade AI in today's sports games, but how are they in The show? How realistic are the AI signing FAs, contract extensions, and how do the players act in Free Agency?
I might just end up controlling all teams, but right now that seems like too much work.

I'm surprised the game doesn't include common stats like woba, wrc+, xfip etc. but at least they included fip & war.

Still Loving the game so far and glad to be finally back to being able to play a baseball game other than OotPB
