Wow this forum for hockey seems to be dying earlier each year.

This is why we have since years more or lesser the same game. Gameplay in offline is good, graphical things and sound in the Stadiums poor. Gameplay also need to have more cut scenes, playing anthems, 3 Stars, Stanley Cup Banner celly, Player Honor .... People are sick to see always the same things

Like I've said,it just takes small things to keep interest.More player likeness,3 stars skating out,roster share,story line for be a pro and so on.Nothing too hard but this team must not come to this forum or just don't care.

I don’t know anything about this games named above, could you explain what you mean ? Is in this games a possibility to upload scanned faces from a picture, or how do you mean that about Player faces ?

NHL2K11 was the last NHL game to speak of created by 2K Sports.

Much like NHL2004 on the PC that has had a large community over the years making new graphics, menus, rosters etc the same is possible for this game. Other games have also had similar communities for years, for instance PES, FIFA, the old school NHL games and the WWE games. The difference compared to EAs NHL2004 is that 2K11 is a way better game and has much better core gameplay.
You can swap pretty much any texture in the game for a HD texture.

2KHS - 2K Hockey Simulator - is an insane project (work in progress) based on an all time classic roster driven by DJNEO where he has been able to change the gameplay of 2K11 from the core up. An example of improvements are making the game run 60fps at all times, new realistic skating, HD graphics, AI changes, collision detection, animations, etc the list goes on and on.

NHL2K20 is a roster addon for 2KHS where you can add modern 19/20 season rosters to 2KHS or just the basic NHL2K11 game if you wish.

Snowdrift and me have also been developing an editor for NHL2K10 and NHL2K11 that makes it possible to change things not possible from the ingame roster editor like assigning any face model to any player in the game and more.

If anyone is interested, I can take some time into writing a tutorial on how to create player faces for instance. I guess more tutorials could follow if there is interest.

yeah. It's sad, but when people go through the trouble of putting together a book (literally) of what is wrong with the game and EA makes 3 on 3 a priority what can you do. Also a lot of the big time posters got banned (rip bigwill33 and scottdau). Then you're left with what the board is now, everyone kind of hopeful but literally no excitement for this game or it's future.

We still can not remodel. We can retexture existing face models. However it is possible to change and set exactly what face model that each player uses, so that we can basically change retired players faces into new players. It is a matter of finding what player model face fits best for a certain player and then retexturing that face.

Can you please post some retextured existing face model pics compared with the original ? Would like to see what is possible to change on faces. So as far as I understood you take retired Players to create some new existing for the 2020 Roster ? For example you take Fedorov‘s Profile and change Face, name, height, weight ..... to Kravtsov ?

They haven't touched the AI in years and it shows. As an offline player the game just isn't fun. I've always loved Be a Pro mode, but my teammates are useless. They get the puck and will skate into a wall and turn it over. I gave up hope a long time ago for a hockey sim, but this isn't even playable as an arcade game.

Teammates will only pass you the puck when you are in an awful position like on the backhand when covered. You turn the puck over instantly because you have zero chance. The teammate AI seems to get worse each year, simply because that's the only way they can make the game a challenge.

My team gives up 4+ goals when I'm not on the ice, so to have a chance to win I have to score 5 alone. It isn't even fun arcade hockey.

I buy the game each year when it hits $20 out of some weird nostalgia that quickly wears off.

I mean, I’m still here... but I literally have nothing to contribute. This game is a complete mess and hot garbage. There’s literally so many things wrong with it that I don’t even bother trying to help anymore. Especially after what EA did to us here with their last “community leaders” type program.

I’m also busy AF, but still one of the top ranked players in the world in EASHL. And I hate every minute of it!

I really want to like this series in-game again, but the novelty of the minor gameplay changes wore off very quickly and I went back to treating it like a text sim in Franchise/Dynasty mode. The same problems (bad teammate AI, "berzerk mode" among others) seem to plague offline play, and the new presentation is nowhere near in depth as it once was.

I've decided to hold off buying another installment on PS4/XB1 until the series makes its way to PC or the PS5. The management features are great, but it's nowhere near the level of something like the Eastside and Franchise Hockey Manager games.

That being said, I've always found Threes mode fun --- playing the mode with all-time teams this year was especially nice --- but it doesn't have enough sustainable value for me, especially offline.

Glad 19 was available for free on Xbox Live Gold earlier this year. I hope EA does the same with 20, as I'd like to revisit some of the game without having to spend over $10 to re-buy it.
