Youkilis should have sucked it up and gone down to first base. Porcello clearly didn't want any part of him.

Now the Tigers are going to lose this game since they had to bring in Lambert, thank you hothead Youkilis and the stupid umps.

Youk is a ****in crazy man, but I love him on the Sox.

And Procello getting ejected isn't ridiculous. He had already tried to hit Martinez, failed, and the first batter of the next inning he hits Youk, after the benches had been warned? He's going to get ejected 9 times out of 10.

I don't think the benches were warned, unless I missed it. If they weren't then it by far is ridiculous. If they were warned wouldn't Leyland have been ejected too?

I also don't think Porcello tried to hit Martinez in the first.

He wasn't throwing at Martinez in the first inning. Balls do get away from pro pitchers sometimes too. He didn't even hit him.

I agree he was probably throwing at Youkilis but that was only in response to Cabrera getting hit on the hand and knocked out the game. Youkilis should know that is how the game works instead of acting like a hothead.

And as Blaze said the benches were never warned.

^^^I wonder if you watching when Tigers have been hit as well. Or did you miss the part where Inge and Cabrera could have had their hand broken in this series? Didn't see them charging the mound, like I said suck it up Youkilis.


Edit:Youkilis has only been hit twice, three Tigers have been hit compared to two Red Sox in this series.

Nope, saw both, which is why Porcello hit Youk on purpose, as he should have to protect his players. He also needs to be prepared for the consequences, just as Youk was prepared to act.

He was prepared for the consequences. He avoided Youkilis throwing his helmet at him and then it was really Porcello who ended up tackling Youkilis to the ground. But Porcello shouldn't have been ejected from the game.
