I was gonna say, baseball is in some uniquely bad situations here. They'll never go back to the days of not airing/streaming every game somewhere (I'm assuming), but the fact that that idea even came to my mind is pretty bad.

Oh I'm not talking about the coverage dealio. Im talking about the Orioles series.

It would be interesting to see how different major league baseball would be had Commissioner Giamatti lived and been in charge for fifteen, twenty years. From Rose to the '94 season having no World Series to the whole performance enhancing problems. Its crazy to think, he didn't even live to see the '89 WS quake. At the very least , he could have saved us from the misery of Bud Selig.

For real though, depending how bad the situation gets, don't think it's Hurricane Katrina level bad, but seeing the destruction already, it does make you think that this will take a while to clean up (the cities affected) and repair things (like the trop). Not that the stadium will or should be a high priority compared to other spots/people affected.

I wish MLB would change the length of the playoff series'.

5 game series for essentially the quarterfinals (Division Round) of the playoffs. Heck the NHL does 7 game series for all 4 rounds of the playoffs. MLB could most certainly do the same. I think at the minimum, the wildcard round should be a 5 game series and then the other 3 rounds should all be 7.
