Cardinals open Friday against the Pirates. Going to be interesting how the first game goes considering the Cardinals only played intrasquad scrimmage games.
Jack Flaherty, to no surprise, will get the ball to open up the new campaign.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Well, season starts with a super matchup, Yankees vs. the World Champions, Cole vs. Scherzer. Lets see how it goes. I will watch in mute, pretty sure announcers won't be able to stay on topic.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment

So, we have the Pittsburgh Blue Jays for a year.
Will be weird having several weekday games including their "home" opener being probably 1pm start times, but they got the best looking stadium to have games in.
Hopefully ownership takes note and whenever the Jays get a new stadium, they think about how good PNC Park looks.Comment

Not settled yet, our governor still has to sign off and he’s been incredibly careful through this.
Our restaurants are only at 25% capacity despite being in our “green phase” and we were the only state in the USA to shut down liquor stores. He’s made head scratching decisions at times but it wouldn’t surprise me if he said no to this.Comment

What I find weird is the explanation.
The governor does realize the Phillies are also in Pennsylvania. And they're competing in the east division as well. So Jays,Yankees,Rays,Marlins, all of them are already going to be in the state itself throughout the season.Comment

PhilliesFan13 and I have hit a milestone on agreeing with something!
Either way, the Dan Patrick Show started selling Pittsburgh Blue Jay's shirts this morning and I most certainly grabbed one.Comment

I like to find silver linings wherever I can; this is going to be one of the greatest Opening Days ever: Opening Day and we're already in the middle of a pennant chase. coming down the stretch for the last 60 games and final 2 months. boy, this season just flew by. seems like the last games being played were spring training games.OSFM23 - Building Better Baseball - OSFM23

I'm guessing there's 0 chance the Jays just don't play this year? Pirates even said MLB NEEDS all 30 teams to play for the season to happen.
Not sure what the last resort is, but sounds like Buffalo or "road warriors" are the 2 less favourable options.
Road warriors option being that Jays just play their home games in the visitors ballpark. Not sure how much players would like that, but it could work.
Jays "home opener" is vs the Nats. The road series before that is also vs the Nats, so they'd just stay there for 2 extra days before flying to Philly to complete their "homestand".
Next homestand is vs Marlins and Rays. That's 5 games in Florida right there.
There's also one with Yankees and Mets, so they stay in NY for a week.
2 others are Baltimore/Boston and to end the season its Yankees/Baltimore. So it's doable.Last edited by Majingir; 07-22-2020, 07:10 PM.Comment
