2025 NBA Draft
Yup it's that time of year. State Farm Classic is on. Watching Cooper Flagg. He's legit a player. I do wonder what position will he play at the next level.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
Not a 2025 draft prospect, but Olivier Rioux is a name to watch. 7'9 C.
Even if he's not good, don't see teams passing on a shot to sign him as an undrafted FA in a few years just to try him out. That size alone, he could probably dunk without jumping.
If Manute Bol could get a roster spot because of his size, this guy has a shot.Comment

Re: 2025 NBA Draft
If he does develop a 3pt game, that would be scary. A 7'9 player shooting from 3, how do you even block that? Even Wemby from 3 is tough enough defending.
Edey is about the same weight as Rioux, but is "only" 7'4.Comment

Seems like everything is holding. I'm still not crazy about Cooper Flagg like that. I feel like the French will keep their streak going here [emoji23]Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

2025 NBA Draft
As a Sixers fan, I still haven't gotten too much into scouting players until we officially keep our pick. But, this is more of a solid draft. I had a good discussion with ggsimmonds during the March Madness about Flagg. If you're expecting Flagg to turn into a 30 point scorer or even a #1 turn around your franchise player, you will be disappointed. In theory, he can be a three level scorer and a good off ball cutter. But, he doesn't have the off the dribble creation, elite first step, or strength to bully defenders. I would love to see him add 15 pounds and work on his strength and craftiness. His best traits are Motor and Feel for Game. He's a good defender, but not sure he'll live up to the Kirilenko level defender hype. If not the Sixers, I would love to see Flagg go to Charlotte. Mainly because with the Wizards or Jazz, he'll get viewed as the savior and I think that'll lead to disappointment. At least with Washington, they'll have some good defensive young core to build around. With Charlotte, he'll have Ball, Miller, and Bridges to handle the scoring load. So, he could just come in and just develop
After him, it's Harper and Bailey. After that, it's a drop off and a lot of guards in the top 10. For the Sixers, I would want a top 3 pick or some type of tradeComment

Draft Lottery tonight. If not for the Sixers, I would hope a team like Charlotte wins the lottery. As me and ggsimmonds said before, if you're hoping Flagg can come in and be a 25-30 ppg Franchise Savior, than you might be disappointed. Flagg would be better off for his development to go to a team where he's not expected to be "The Guy" . I think Charlotte would be a great fit since they have the scoring. Flagg could bring more defense and hgh intangibles. If not the Hornets, maybe a situation where a team moves from the 8th-14th spot moves up to #1
As a Sixers fan, I just want to keep the pick at bare minimum. Ideally, landing in the top 4Last edited by illwill10; 05-12-2025, 03:11 PM.Comment
