Maluach is just someone I'm not so sure about. One, that performance against Houston and not getting a single rebound is a red flag for me. I really don't care for bigs that size who can't rebound. Doesn't get a lot of blocks for his size. Only played 20 minutes a game, so don't know how he'll fare playing 28-32 minutes in NBA. Seems like he'll be dependent on having a dynamic PG that can set him up. I get the upside though. That size and athleticism. If he can at least get stronger, more emphasis on the glass, and develop some type of face up jump shot, he can be a solid pro.

For me, once you get past Harper at 2, it feels like 3-12 there isn't a significant gap. Yeah guys like Bailey, Edgecombe, Johnson has higher upside, but they have all have clear flaws or raw. That's why for the Sixers I would love to trade back to 6-10 and get someone like Carter Bryant and pick up a young vet or pick. Like I said, I would love to pick up someone like Tari Eason in a trade back or Herb Jones

I do think next year’s draft class is better on paper. Next year has better top end talent and a lot more wings and forwards to go along with guys who opted out of this class. This year is more guard heavy.

It does feel like the trade fronts will dictate outcome of draft. I think the Giannis decision is the first domino to fall, then KD, then other guys, then Spurs and Sixers dictate the draft. I do think KD will get traded before draft. I don’t think Harper is a good fit for Spurs. I get best player available, but that will be 3 on ball guards. As a Sixers fan, I wouldn’t mind trading up a spot for Harper. I think Harper is a better fit for Philly. The difference for Philly is that Maxey, McCain, and Grimes. Are combo guards who play better off ball. Maxey is better as a SG when he doesn’t have to distribute and only has to score. Harper would allow Maxey to play off the ball more and not play 40 minutes a night. Harper would immediately come in as best playmaker. If not Harper, I rather trade back for Philly. I don’t care for Ace Bailey, especially for Philly. Ace seems like he’d be the Kuminga/Mathurin type where you have the talent, you just don’t do what’s best for the team. I like Edgecombe, he just needs to improve handle and shot creation. I’m not high on Trey Johnson because of lack of defense and finishing. I like Kon K, he just seems like a high floor, low ceiling. Kon K seems like he’s a 3-4 year player coming out, not a freshman. I think best outcome for Kon is to have a Jared McCain type of impact where he’s a crafty scorer and great feel. I like Maxey, but I think McCain can be a better fit for “hooper” than Maxey.

I just want Harper - wish Dallas was dumb enough to trade down and give SA Cooper Flag, LOL - and a 4/5 to spell Wembanyama and Sochan.

A defensive minded, 3-&-D wing can be grabbed with the 2nd rounder, if they don't trade it entirely.

I'm good with the Edgecombe pick for the Sixers. Might be a little logjam at guard now if Grimes resigns. But, Sixers needed an infusion of athleticism, defense, and intensity. They needed good culture guys

I doubt that was the outcome Ace Bailey and his reps were hoping for, with the reports of him wanting to stay on the East lol

Raptors were rumored to be interested in Maluach and Essengue.

Both happen to be available at their pick which makes it interesting.

                  But they take Collin Murray-Boyles?

More wings/combo forwards that can't shoot for Toronto. 😆

I don't mind it without Screamin' Steven A, but they do need a 'bigger personality' to go with Jay Bilas' grounded delivery.

Less Perk is always a plus too.

Has to be Maluach for Phoenix. Ideal outcome for them

Also, Shams not being on Twitter ruining the picks makes things less exciting/hilarious. 😆

Phoenix traded their last tradable first for Mark Williams after selecting Maluach.
