I just wanted to know if fellow Os'ers read this magazine, I look forward to it every month. (note: I'm not spamming I just wanted to if any one reads it)

Love Slam Magazine. I've been a subscriber to Slam since this magazine has existed, but my subscription ran out this year. In the process of renewing my subscription this week.

It is an incredible magazine imo. I love the inside stories, and the hip hop-esque theme. The cover's are always very sexy as well

I'm also a big fan of the magazine. I've been reading it since like 2001. Unfortunately I haven't read it in a while due to school and my growing hatred for reading lol. But it's always good bathroom reading material. I need to resubscribe. It's changed so much since back in the day. I always have a good time looking through old Slam mags at the "Punks" section and reading about all these high school kids on the come up that have turned into NBA or NCAA stars.

It's a great magazine. I had an old issue back when lebron was a junior in h.s. writing in his slam basketball diary.

                  Re: Slam Magazine?

Haven't it subscribed to it in about 7 years.. but I remember back in 95 or 96 when I first got on Slam's jock.. man those were the days I truly loved basketball.

When they came out with the Kickz edition.. wow.

Edit: And I'll never forget when they came to my high school in little Lake Oswego, Oregon in 2000 to write an article on then senior Salim Stoudamire. Man oh man Slam was like religion back in those days.

It was like the internet. I knew about all the college studs before they were studs because of Slam.

I do sports for The Boston Globe/Boston.com and they are always sending us free SLAM issues for some reason, we don't really subscribe. But I always give it a good look-through, read a whole one today, solid interview with AI and a nice piece on Rudy Gay.

I used to love SLAM. Too much info on the intranetz to pay for print media now tho. FYE duped me into a subscription over the summer...I had almost forgotten how good it was as a sports/hip hop/culture hybrid mag.

I remember those kicks editions...I still got a copy from back in the day along w/ my favorite Slam cover w/ VC (Still on TOR) slamming it all nasty-like.

The internet probably pulled me away from SLAM, but I'm glad for the alternative. For every great article and revealing interview, there was an ebonics laden thumb of the nose to journalism that was all hype, and talked down to its audience.
