I don't see another win for them in the next couple of games.
Jets? Maybe
Buffalo? Nope
TB? Nope
Dolphins if they keep it up? Nope
I expect to beat the Jets but it is going to get very tough after that.
Getting TJ back (whenever that is) will help every phase of the defense but Mitch isn't going to get much better and neither is Matt Canada.
I've earmarked the Jets game as potentially when we'll see Pickett. If not then, I'd guess we don't see him until after the Bye.
The good news is that the line is clearly getting a grasp on Pat Meyer's approach to blocking. They aren't missing assignments with regularity like they did in the preseason and they are not responsible for any of the 5 sacks allowed this season (3 are on Trubisky, 2 on Harris).
Got dicey at the end there. Man I wish Pickens didn’t jump off and was able to corral that onsides kick. This was my first time seeing Pickens play in a game, I had read the talk that he might be the best rookie WR out this year. He did not disappoint. Just put him on that PIT WR list with all the others who’ve flourished there already.
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
