Milestone watch this season:
Crosby 8 away from getting 600 goals (would be 21st in history) and has a shot of being in the top 10 all time in assists

Ovechkin 42 goals away from passing Gretzky

Suter and Ovechkin have a shot at 1500GP (would be 22nd and 23rd to ever do it)

And for the first time since the 95/96 season, there's no Coyotes (and technically speaking, first time since 78/79 where this franchise doesn't exist).

Do we see the Utah Hockey Club pull off a miracle run of a season?

On one hand, you have one of the best goalies in the league, but that seems like a lot on the Rangers end to offer, and he somehow declined too.

I don't get why they don't have abbreviations or anything either.

On score tickers some will just put "hockey club". So the score will be something like "Avalanche-1 Hockey Club-0".

NHL debuts on Prime tonight.

Bettman before the game seems to think this could be the future for the Canadian rights at least.

Rogers deal lasts until the 25/26 season, doesn't seem like they (Rogers) want to have as big a deal as last time, we could see rights divided up more. TSN could get more games, but could someone like Amazon step in and get more games?

This will be a fun trivia fact one day.

Jake Allen is the first goalie in NHL history with wins against 33 different franchises due to the league counting Utah and Arizona as different franchises (which imo is how sports should always be. Do Jets fans care about the Thrashers history? Do Avs fans care about Nordiques history? Do Devils fans care about the Rockies history?)

I know it's an uncommon opinion, but I always think franchises histories should just die if they relocate to a different state or country (with the door open for a new owner one day to buy the history for their new franchise if they bring back a franchise to that city)
