I welcome the prospect of the Wild becoming a serious contender, though.
As far away as that sounds, that's literally just 3 drafts from now! Yes, we're just about at the halfway point of this decade!

If this were an NBA trade, there'd be a 2030 pick involved.

Give Buffalo credit. While the Canucks and Leafs flirt with competence, the Sabres have seized this opening to consolidate their position on top of the NHL's Most Cursed Franchise podium.

Buffalo is just American Toronto (in sports at least).

In a span of 10 days, Avs got rid of their #1 and #2 goalie heading into the season.

2nd time this organization got rid of Kovalenko for a goalie too. Obviously means Blackwood is the next Patrick Roy.

Pretty sure this is the 1st time Jocelyn Thibault's name has popped into my brain in the last 20 years.

EDIT: Also, does this mean that Blackwood will be starting for Canada at the 2026 Olympics?

To think, Rangers once had Lundqvist, Georgiev and Shesterkin. They made the right choice in who to keep. Georgiev going to Colorado looked like he'd be a top 10 goalie, then fell off last year.

There's definitely jokes to be made about the Blackwood/Wedgewood combo. But don't think either will help the Avs at all either...

Such a weird feeling as a Leafs fan seeing all these goalie moves happening around the league and for the first time ever, we're actually in a better spot that most teams when it comes to goaltending/depth. At the point where I even wonder if someone tries offering something for one of their AHL guys since this Woll/Stolarz duo (if healthy) could be the best goalie duo in hockey this year if they continue their pace.

Leafs with 11 TOTAL shots in regulation, Devils AVERAGED 12 shots per period.

                      Leafs win 2-1 in OT.

Just wanted to say Kirill Kaprisov has reached his final form. That is all.

Oh yeah and also our goalie scored a goal this season, so that was cool.

It's less common in today's NHL to see late round draft picks become superstars because scouting has gotten so much better that guys, specifically non NA players, don't get picked late because barely any scouting was done on them.

But seeing Kaprizov becoming one of the top players in the NHL is crazy.

I hope the Wild go deep this year. Too bad NHL format is forcing a Wild vs Jets 2nd round matchup when that should've been a conference finals matchup between what could be the 1 and 2 seed in the west.

Kaprisov was one of the best players in the KHL wasn’t he? I think the only reason he wasn’t picked high was because there was a genuine belief that he would never leave Russia. Maybe size too.

Sabres now lost 11 in a row.

                              Time to rebuild...again.

To think, they once had Reinhart, Eichel, Ullmark at the same time.

Sabres now at 13 losses in a row.

The Bills have fewer losses dating back 3 years ago where they are 39-12 in their last 51 regular season games.
