Indeed. Nice to start the season out against Pittsburgh. Both teams have added/subtracted some big names, so I'm excited to see how things shape up for each and see how the new guys fit into this rivalry.
I'm looking forward to Boucher's play. Leighton always seemed so shaky to me, even when he was reeling off 3 shutouts in 5 games. Boucher seemed like the less gaudy, but more consistent goaltender to me. I must admit, I was down on him and figured he was never going to return to being even an average starter, but he showed me and the team a lot in the postseason and final few games of the regular season. He seemed to get in a groove. With Leighton out a month, it'd be nice to see Bouch get in a similar groove and hold on to the starter job. Plus, I'm looking forward to a full season of Laviolette hockey. I've really fallen in love with his style of play. It finally utilizes the weapons the Flyers have.
Excited for Zherdev. We have talented players, but can't remember having a pure talent like Zherdev.
NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Not a particularly sharp night for the Pens. Some sloppiness with the puck and bad turnovers. Their breakout got predictable and led to a horrible turnover which resulted in the game-winning short-handed goal for the Flyers. Also looks like they haven't got the ice quite right at the new arena yet as players from both teams were losing their edges all over the place. Entertaining game though....alot of scoring chances. The Philly rookie looked solid in net.
On a side note......the CCM commercial with Ovechkin's head in the locker they're showing on VS is hilarious.
