Re: The Official 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
So Florida is playing New Jersey in the 1st round? Yeah, I don't think I'll be watching a minute of that series.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: The Official 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I would have preferred Ottawa in the first round as I feel Washington is a little better depth wise and doesn't have a liability with a Karlson type on defense unless you count Mike Green who I do believe plays on the PK unlike Karlson. But I still think Boston gets out of the first round unscathed.Comment

I would've preferred the Sharks, but if LA wants to play as loosey-goosey as they have the last 2 games, fine by me.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. I am going for round three of the Red Wings-Penguins Rivalry. Aside from Homerism I am looking for Datsyuk, Zetterberg and Howard to step up huge in the playoffs like last year with hopefully more production from everyone else to propel them to another Stanley Cup.

Originally posted by DagioI just want to see the Coyotes win a playoff series once in my lifetime. That's not too much to ask.
I think Phoenix could pull off the "upset" on the Hawks. The Hawks are top heavy with nowhere near the depth they had in their Cup-winning season. Phoenix on the other hand has more depth and the edge in net, but they're lacking the top scorers the Hawks have. I mean ****, your guys' best player is 39 year old Ray Whitney, so who knows how this series will turn out. BTW what's the word on Toews? He's back for the playoffs, correct?
Also, Washington on paper seems like an appealing upset pick, but when you have guys like Alex Semin looking at the stat sheet after a game, saying "13 minutes?", and then crumpling the paper up and throwing it away, I'm not exactly sure that's the type of locker room environment that's going to get you anywhere in the playoffs. I also don't think going from Bruce Boudreau to Dale Hunter behind the bench is going to change their recent playoff fortunes at all.
at Vancouver having to play Chicago again if both teams win their 1st round series and the Sharks don't upset the Blues. Vancouver just can't avoid them. That said I'm pretty sure everyone here but DrJones hopes to hell it happens.
Anyways, random playoff thoughts aside, time for my inevitably terrible predictions!

Re: The Official 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread
I can see it now: Abdelkader will high stick the entire Predators team and the Wings will get owned by the Pred's "above average" PP.
The Rangers the #1 seed to fall first?
Curious to see EA's postseason sim. Last year was quite... accurate. Except for the final.Comment

It might not be the most appealing, but I couldn't be happier with the Panthers draw. One of the few cases where I was rooting for the Devils to keep a 6 seed.Member of The OS Baseball Rocket Scientists AssociationComment
