Fun as it is to dunk on Belgium, I absolutely hate VAR being used to negate goals on ticky-tack infractions outside the box. What are we even doing here?

Dr. Jones was right in stating that. We should have believed him.

Man’s playing 3 RBs out there and the one who can actually pass (Trent) is basically negated because his attacking 3 has no runners. Saka/Kane/Foden… all ball to feet.
Canada really should have scored at least one goal in the first half when Davies was roasting guys down the left side. They had a free header from 4 yards that should have been a goal but was shot directly at Martinez.
Then again, Messi somehow missing multiple one-on-ones given up by Canada's suicide high line tactic kept the score from being as bad as it could have been.

Can’t wait until United hire him next year.

Southgate after the match "we just can't find a good replacement for Kalvin Phillips" lol
Just going on television and admitting you aren't a good manager in front of the world.
Thought the US played really well last night apart from finishing. Pepi should have had a substitutes hat trick. Gotta get the 3pts on Thursday against Panama
Scotland's performance was disgraceful even by their standards. The Tartan Army deserves better.
It was remarkable that Clarke didn’t try anything new. Che Adams did nothing up front yet played almost every minute despite the SPL’s leading scorer being on the bench.
They went deep into the tiebreakers on the ranking of 3rd place teams. Netherlands takes the top 3rd place spot thanks to disciplinary points. Netherlands and Georgia were tied on points, goal difference, goals scored, and wins. Only thing left would have been rankings in the qualifiers. The famous drawing of lots was only going to be a thing if Germany was in a tiebreaker.
Also, Ukraine is going home with 4 points thanks to all 4 teams in their group finishing on 4. A third place team made it through with 3 points.

The order of the top 3 3rd place teams doesn't mean anything, though. For example, Georgia would play Spain in the R16 regardless if they finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th among 3rd place teams. Inter-group tiebreakers are only really needed to separate the 4th ranked (advances) and 5th ranked 3rd place teams (eliminated).
Disciplinary points were needed to separate Denmark and Slovenia in Group C, however. Although their players each picked up 6 yellows, Denmark finished 2nd because Slovenia's Technical Director also picked up a yellow, LOL.
Fun fact: If Denmark and Slovenia played each other on the last group stage day and ended up tied in points, GD, and GF, they would've gone to a penalty shootout to determine 2nd/3rd.
Also of note: Euro uses H2H as the 1st tiebreaker while Copa uses GD, so Venezuela hasn't clinched Group B yet, despite wins over both Ecuador and Mexico.
