Re: 2024-25 UEFA Competitions Thread
Lmao.
Weston McKennie has the most utterly unflinching mentality.
Deemed not good enough (read: too American) for a top club like Juve EVERY single season. And yet there he is, starting for Juve under a new coach, every time. And currently AGAIN Juve fans are saying he might be their best midfielder right now, something they’ve said at some point every single season.
What an absolute king. My favorite American player for a long time now. He’s got that Clint Dempsey energy, like they KNOW everyone thinks they aren’t good enough purely because they are American, and are absolutely determined to stuff that right back in your face.
Take a bow Weston.Comment

One of my favorite players. Such a sh**house too. I just wish he’d dial it back on the pasta lol

Honestly surprised that's only a yellow card offense. He should be in the stands for their next CL match.Comment

Re: 2024-25 UEFA Competitions Thread
The referee gave it to him with a smile, as I think he realized while it was a mistake, it wasn't done as an intentional way to disrupt the flow of the game, as it only hurt his side. I don't think he could complain with a red, but it's nice to see a level of common sense applied (something that's never done with English officials). If Arteta didn't touch it, it was almost out and going to be hard to control anyway, and he touched it when he was pulling his hand away as he realized it hadn't gone fully out.Comment
