Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
Wow that's a huge bug list BC. Just got it for 360. Now I'm debating if i should even open it.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
so, after testing it for 2 1/2 hours : Can it be that low KI makes the other riders drive slower, yet the times in training/quali stay equally good ?
Iยดve stuck with top-class players on their timed round and still was ways behind them on the timeboard ...Comment

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
Interesting that they've compiled such a long list, but no mention of FFB. IMO I hope those issues get fixed, but none of them are game killers. This game just won't last with sim racers unless the FFB is improved upon.Comment

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
^^ What does FFB mean?
I have a few questions. I hope someone can answer them.
1. What is the best team you can sign with initially?
2. Is there a way to turn OFF tire punctures? I'd hate to lose a good finish due to a BS flat tire from that glitch.
Thanks!Comment

Okay, this is so bad it's funny. Has to do with the AI cars not visually running the times they end up with in qualifying.

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
A patch is holding this back from being a very good to great game. I am so disappointed in the amount of bugs as listed (thanks ExtremeGamer), so disappointed. This game has been a long time in the making, it's not another annual release, I am a little surprised that all this could have slipped through the cracks.
With that said, there is a lot to love. You get immersed in the F1 atmosphere, I think it's great. I am going to plow on and start a 3 year career bugs and all (though once the game is patched and running as it should, I will restart a 7 year one) simply because I have longed for a F1 game for soooo long.My teams: Leeds United, Central Coast Mariners, Denver Broncos, Florida Gators, Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Brisbane Broncos.

One thing I am finding annoying is the AI and the lines they are taking when not overtaking. They deviate too much from the racing line. Makes no sense. My teams: Leeds United, Central Coast Mariners, Denver Broncos, Florida Gators, Florida Marlins, Miami Heat, Brisbane Broncos.

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
There's a FFB problem as well? That's gamekiller written all over it. This game has officially entered the disaster phase.
I love this site but the one thing I hate is the honeymooners who insist the game is great no matter how many unacceptable flaws there is because it's a new game. A little more objectivity guys. Or at least play all modes before heaping tons of praise. You're loving it now because it's new which is fine but don't downplay the numerous bugs and glitches that make this game impossible to enjoy long term. There is no excuse for this game to have this many problems. It's a racing game which should be alot easier to program than Madden or the Show where there are alot more variables to worry about.
A month from now 90% who love it now will be saying the exact opposite if nothing is fixed. I can't remember the last time I've seen a new game with this many bugs. Not until the majority of the bugs are addressed which I'm not sure they ever will be. This isn't EA where they are good at issuing patches so they may never be rectified if Codemasters feels the sales figures don't justify it.
I'm just a little bit bitter from the UFC 2010 Undisputed fiasco where the 1st few days everyone said how amazing the game was and I bought it because of that praise from OS only to find out the game was a complete disaster and took my losses and traded it in a week later. I don't want to waste my money the same way with this game.
There is no excuse for the lack of quailty control for this game, Sony made F1CE just after the PS3 came out and they didn't have a quarter of the bugs this game seems to have and that was for a brand new gaming system at the time. I just was really looking forward to this game and Codemasters seems to have done a half assed job.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 09-24-2010, 11:30 PM.Comment

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
I will just say this, I understand that the game has its list of issues, but I have no problem saying that I still love this game. They will patch a lot of this stuff, and hopefully most of these issues will no longer be of concern.
I am no longer in the "honeymoon phase" ( no jab at you at all Seymour ) and completely realize the list of issues. Maybe its because I am older now, and have a lot more patience, but I love the hell out of this game. If I am not playing, I want to be playing it. The MP is just great, and if one of the bugs affect me.......so be it.
I know that my outlook is probably the minority, but I would still recommend this game to any of my friends, with the understanding that there are some issues. The truth of the matter is, I really cant think of 1 game I could suggest that doesn't have a list of problems.
I am not looking to badmouth anyone who has a differing opinion than mine, as everyones opinion is a valid one. I just have a different outlook these days. I just want a game to be fun, and if there are issues, for a developer to understand that it needs attention.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: F1 2010 Impressions (PS3, 360, PC)
I think that is a big point. You get older and your honeymoon period gets shorter. You get to a point where you can tell within the first 24 hours or less is this a game that you will enjoy for some time to come or does it fall flat and just plain out junk in your opinion.Comment
