If this gets at least a 7/10 average rating from all the major reviews, I'm definitely gonna pick this up the first time there's a sale discount. Gameplay videos look good.

It's pretty cool they're launching at $49.99, if you combo that with Best Buy GCU or something similar that's a pretty good discount.

In Jeff's video, he talks about the AI and complete lack of rubberbanding from 3:00 - 3:22.

He's running an early access versions at Martinsville and Talladega. Here are some of my take-aways that are getting me excited:
  • He says the AI is "very fun to race compared to last year"
  • Cars feel "more heavy" (he's racing with stability off)
  • Something cool I noticed at Martinsville regarding AI that appeared to make a human type error- at the 20:30 mark, Earnhardt Jr's car cuts corner too much, hops curb, and bounces out into the outside car a bit.
  • "Bump drafting that actually works"
  • "drafting physics a lot better " (including side drafting)
Well, after watchign his video on all 3 series in the game, I'm a heck of a lot closer to pre-ordering. That was some great footage there. Still concerned there's just two driving modes. Stability on, or off. Rather than simulation or normal from last year. Seems like it's the same thing... just different names. That to me, is a major disappointment. However, that being sad from the videos it does seem to handle alot better. Although 60 FPS on a pc likely helps that, as opposed to the 30 on consoles, but at times it does appear it's not locked to 60fps even on PC, which concerns me for consoles.

Still probably goint to wait and see what some of yours guys say, to see if it's that big of a change. I'll be getting it because I love the appeal of the new career mode, and all 3 series. Just depends on when I get it now.

Does anyone know if we can turn the names off above the cars this year?

When will they finally let us know what Wheel the game supports... I am looking to purchase now that F1 is out and hopeful NASCAR will be good enough to buy as well

Any chance we can edit our drivers name before starting a career instead having to use our username by default?

Nothing ruins immersion more than seeing "polyduster" on the leaderboard next to Kyle Busch....

I sure hope so. If there's the ability to customize your car now, there damn sure better be a place to pick your number, and name. If they overlook that again this year it's just awful.

Just found this video. It looks like you can pick your number, but I didn't see an option to change your name.
