I thought about it at first, but even now, I'm still getting hits anywhere from 6-13....
I really think that it is subjective. If people aren't hitting, then they can either:
1) Increase the contact slider
2) Focus on getting better.
I don't look at the sliders and see what makes things easier/harder for the user, I try to manipulate the game for statistical accuracy, feel, and overall flow. If you take all the comments here into account, when you have some users saying there is a problem and others saying they don't see it, it's hard to figure what to think. Personally, the games all vary enough that I don't see it... I just think many have to step aside, think about what they are doing, then change their approach.
Same thing with pitching... some say they can't strike anyone out, others can get 11, 12k's... It's just a matter of finding out what works, b/c when you do, that light bulb goes off, you let out a big "OHHHHHHHHHHH" and then wonder how you couldn't get it in the first place...
